I LOVE how those who know absolutely NOTHING about Coal or Coal Mining are EXPERTS on the industry and the "damage" it does to the environment!! Do your own research and stop listening to the Environmentalist whackos and the Coal-Haters in Washington. I live in WV, but I DO NOT have Family in the mining industry. But, who are all the self-righteous to go and tell EVERYONE Else how to earn a living LEGALLY, by the way!!!
Don Blankenship & Massey Coal have broken innumnerable laws over the past several decades. Look at the most recent disaster. Blankenship buys politicians and EPA agency reps to do his bidding. Massey has put many men out of a job because those men wanted to start a union.
Back in the 60s & 70s, miners stood up to the mine owners; went on strike. Today you have rallies like this one where miners stand up for the owners! What's happened?
I enjoyed myself and really support these people and their jobs. Most of the people in the mines as well as in WV are Democrats so before you make nasty comments consider what if their children get hungry because of Cap and Trade.
