@tractorguy58 in these conditions the D-19 is pulling the plow easily, but in some of the clay we can have and other soils such as black gumbo this would be enough for the D-19. It all depends on soil conditions. I plowed one time with a 7040 and a 4-16s with a clod buster in heavy clay and it gave that large tractor a good workout! I also have some literature where A-C is saying you can pull 5-14s with a D-17. Like I said it all depends on soil conditions.
@tractorguy58 Depends on the dirt. At least the fine tractor in this video is still going and not sitting on blocks with the rear end tore apart.
Don't know where you are, but in my area, a 4-16 can pull a lot like a 5-14, and there are plenty of guys close to who are still pulling 4 bottoms with a 1066 or a 4430 or 4440.
@daw162 i agree that is a fine tractor and as it is an allis it will be going strong for a long time to come. the type of soil they have in this video is quite soft an the d-19 is pulling easy thats why i said it should have a bigger plow i live in ontario and our farm is very heavy clay. we plow 4-14 on a d-17 gas 4-16 on a 6060 and 5-18 with a d-21.
yes that is A-C power but that dirt is very soft the ground we plow is very hard and does not lay over like this...so i said thats some really soft ground
I farm with a Allis-Chalmers D19 gas with a 4 bottom plow and sometimes the 4 botton works the D19 pretty good
that plow is set perfect and is doing as good a job plowing sod ground as i have seen, ground was in perfect condition to work, good job

nice video but that plow is to small for a d-19. they were meant to plow 5-14
