Thanking God for victory isn't the same thing as thanking Him for making the other team lose. There must be one winner and one loser. In order to experience joy, you must also experience sadness. If everyone wins and no one loses, no one can ever truly enjoy the feeling of victory because there's no basis for comparison. Even when we don't get what we want, or we don't get what we work for, we need to still thank God for giving us the opportunity, and ask Him that He might give it to us again.

It's like I said in my previous post, there must be a basis of comparison for each type of feeling we experience. To us, we are making our own decision. God already knows what is going to happen, and He lets it happen the way we decide here on earth. Just like good earthly parents do, God lets us make mistakes to learn from them.

During Jesus' life in the New Testament, everything was made new. He preached that you love each other regardless of differences. When the people of the city wanted to stone the adulteress, it was JESUS who said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" (John 8:7).
Jesus knew that the people that wanted to stone her were hypocrites. They were all sinners, but He loved them anyway, and He wanted them all to love each other. Thanking God for victory isn't the same thing as thanking Him for making the other team lose. There must be one winner and one loser. In order to experience joy, you must also experience sadness. If everyone wins and no one loses, no one can ever truly enjoy the feeling of victory because there's no basis for comparison. Even when we don't get what we want, or we don't get what we work for, we need to still thank God for giving us the opportunity, and ask Him that He might give it to us again.

I do believe that God has a plan for everything, but thanking Him for a victory is not the same as thanking Him for making the other team lose. I'm not saying that God cares for one team more than the other. Just because one team won and the other team lost does not mean that God has a preference for one over the other. I do believe that nothing is possible without God, but I think that you missed my point.

It's like I said in my previous post, there must be a basis of comparison for each type of feeling we experience. Although it is a tragedy, some people must bear the burden of experiencing the harsh negative side of the spectrum in life. "Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!" (Matthew 18:7) Just because God knows everything that is to come does not mean that we don't have free will.

To us, what we do is free will. We make conscious decisions on whether we do right or wrong. We either do what God guides us to do, or what Satan guides us to do. To us, we are making our own decision. God already knows what is going to happen, and He lets it happen the way we decide here on earth. Just like good earthly parents do, God lets us make mistakes to learn from them.

Amazing. You typed "stoning" into Google and this is what came up. If you knew anything about Christianity, then you would know that every single scripture you quoted is from the Old Testament. During Jesus' life in the New Testament, everything was made new. He preached that you love each other regardless of differences. When the people of the city wanted to stone the adulteress, it was JESUS who said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" (John 8:7).

Jesus knew that the people that wanted to stone her were hypocrites. They were all sinners, but He loved them anyway, and He wanted them all to love each other. Since Jesus was God in the flesh, we know that God Himself wants us to treat each other this way. The Old Testament is a good learning tool, and good to know for history, but Christianity is based on the life of Jesus (New Testament). I wish I could devote more time and space to this debate, but this is simply not the venue.
