  • Worst video on youtube.

  • So its ok for no rcd protection on elighting and detector circuits! What about tt suplies where ze values are higher and bs5839. can anyone advise. I was under the impression tt system circuits require rcd including the above..

  • @festeradamz TT's must have an RCD to meet the disconnection times under earth fault conditions stated in 7671.Lighting circuits with cables burried less than 50mm in depth must be rcd protected, unless enclosed in an earthed metallic conduit. And detectors may be fed off a local lighting circuit,or a dedicated circuit on a RCBO from a non RCD protected side of the CU.Thats what i know of it anyways, others may tell me otherwise! In some ways the video just confuses some matters

  • these regs have been in ireland a long time reguarding fire alarms on their own circuit and all sockets must be on an rcd also whoever wired that house should be shot a twin an earth at the light switch and not a twin brown worse still they showed it

  • As long as you know your eggs you can't go wrong :)

  • very informative, thnaks
