actually he is using a whammy pedal for the high pich sound...he has it set for two octave raise pitch...he used it a lot on the Damageplan CD

not sure about the crybaby since I don't have a lot of experience with wah pedals, but I know the high pich squeals on Becoming and a lot of the Damageplan stuff is from a Whammy pedal set for two octaves up...whenever you hit a note, push the pedal down and you get the high pitch octave sound..

Yeah...Dime always impressed me. About phrasing with wammy pedal, I like "Becoming". I might be wrong, but seems to me that Dime makes the solo with whammy and squeals. So, it's an awesome, amazing treble+treble+treble+treble...­great job. Just genius.. Don't you think?

Naw the Overdrive just adds gain........not volume so much. It is not an eq or a voume booster.

i got a zakk wylde wah it broke in the power suply so i duct taped it and super glued it but its totally fuckin kick ass for 150$ and a metal pedal its cool if its not plugged in it sounds too clean and honky-finder fat strat with a roland blues cube 30 from the 1985 but i put a 12" speaker and took out the 10 so i can turn it all the way up to 12 and my rug wont blow up but i will XD

Dime did a great product demo on that prototype pedal he was working on with Dunlop (who also made his Crybaby from hell and, of course, the Wylde overdrive - MXR pedals that actually made it to market). I wonder if Dunlop will ever release a production version of the "wammy octave, with the fuzz" insane pedal he had. Perhaps if we write his lady, she'd work on getting one for the masses with Dunlop. :-)
