As he was an Atheist, and believed religion only caused wars and false expectations (Which it has in a major grade) he refused to fund the churches, making priests protest against him, cursing him and other stuff. While it was a socialist state, I call it communist because that's what most people will call it and not "corrupt socialism". And the KGB was also referred to the "Armed wing of the workers" so that's how i associate the KGB with communism.

Saying that Lenin simply killed priests is a little bit harsh. As he was an Atheist, and believed religion only caused wars and false expectations (Which it has in a major grade) he refused to fund the churches, making priests protest against him, cursing him and other stuff. This went on for days until he arrested some of them, but they kept going until 3 years later, when Stalin took some men with him and shot about 10 of them. This was without Lenin's blessing, but he gave Stalin mercy.

Although Stalin was a horrible man, if Trotsky took power after Lenin's death, I doubt Trotsky could push back the Germans in World War 2. Only Stalin with his tenacity and cruelty could. Other than that it's almost certain things would have been better with Trotsky.

Hose stalin no es en si un idolo "comunista" , fue en relidad un presidente de un nacion intento de socialismo. I think we can all come to terms that Stalin did kill millions of people and sent millions of people to work camps. but this is what you are forgetting. with out Stalin industrializing the country im sure the soviet union would of got crushed by Nazi Germany during world war two.
You see if Hitler would have defeated the Russians he would not be fighting a war on 2 fronts anymore, instead Hitler would focus his forces on Britain and Africa.

actually . . . for a while in the early years of the Soviet Union, there was freedom of religion . . . but there was also freedom to persecute people for their religious beliefs . . . very clever! Lenin would have likely been responsible for millions of deaths as well had he lived long enough. His murders would have been cold and calculated . . . seen by him as a necessity . . . unlike the brutish killings done under the Stalin regime . . .
