For people who didn't know...Street Fighter Zero and Alpha are the same!!!! they just changed the name for the game when they brought it to the US and Europe and South America and so on...the japanese version is Zero! and the American/European/South American etc version is Alpha!
Well, but that's a copilation...the best version of Alpha/Zero 3 is on the Dreamcast which is arcade perfect...well, the Saturn version with the RAM cartridge is also arcade perfect...
I agree with you,it's even better because I have innovation's Total Control 3 that allows me to use a Saturn controller on Dreamcast,as well as other adapters to use a Saturn
controller on Xbox,PS2,and PS3.I'm still trying to find the Ps2 controller that looks like a Saturn controller to use with my Xbox 360 adapter for use with Xbox Live Arcade.Getting back to Alpha/Zero,Street Fighter Alpha Anthology is arcade perfect since my Dreamcast broke.
I think the Saturn controller is awesome but I also like the Dreamcast controller a lot, it's perfect, the only thing that may be better than it is the Xbox S controller and the 360 controller...the only flaws the controller had for me was that it could've had dual analog sticks and 2 more buttons on the top maybe...but the controller is perfect for the majority of games and is really comfortable for me...
The Xbox1 and 360 are bulkie and clumsy when used for Fighting Games and I like to have a 6-button layout for my Pad or Arcade Stick,I never use the analog sticks just the D-pad,also the Xbox and 360 D-pad sucks, becase Microsoft rip off the Dreamcast controller when they made their system,in my opinion the
Dreamcast controller sucks too, they both feel like a giant hamburger with rancid moldy meat in it, probitly one of the worst controller designs for a controller in history.
I'm sorry then, but you must have small and deformed baby hands to say such crap like that...the 360 D-Pad DOES suck but the original Xbox controller S (not the duke) is perfect for fighting games, of course nobody uses the analog stick for fighting games, I was talking in general and the triggers for me are much better for fighting games too than a confusing all 6 buttons-on-the-front layout...the 360 controller is perfect except for the D-pad...and if you think that's clumsy......
the kid in the Burger king commercial,I may have been overzealous in my statement about controller design,I recant my statement and give it to CD-I controller instead,I just don't like triggers(and D-pad still sucks)it's
just that the XB contoller has hurt my wrist on more than once,it was just an outburst of anger towards it(the Duke),I did'nt mean to come off as an A-hole,I was just making conversaton,I more of an Arcade stick person.
this version is much better than the psx version. despite the loading time, it's faithful to the arcade version, animation remains intact thanks to saturn's sprite handling. too bad you cant use the cartridge ram to cut loading time.
The Street Fighter Collection (for both PS1 and SS) was released domestically and has Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold, which is basically the same. In Japan, it was released in the same pack under SFZ2'. It's also found in Street Fighter Zero: Fighters Generation on Japanese PS2. Whether or not it's included in Alpha Anthology I'm not sure. but I will say that in FG they actually have Dash and all the loading is removed, which is real nice.
Hey this look's pretty cool. I was under the impression all fighter games were crap (bar Smash Bros) mainly coz it's mindless button baching. But the characters in this seem really agile and there's a lot of dodging going on. :)
At least the loading before a match is less than 10 seconds. Not the like the shit found on PlayStation for both Alpha 2 and 3... ugh.
Needless to say, it's hard to find this game although with Fighter's Generation on PS2 (with zero loading) that's the best bet to play this game, although on Saturn with a pad (unless you can find the Saturn PS2 pad or an adapter) would be the fighters choice.
plz can you tell me how can i download this game for my computer ??

In the original version for Saturn, I was disappointed that they didn't have the original soundtrack available.

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for PS2 is the
best bet of all versions of of Street Fighter
Alpha(Zero)it includes Alpha 2 Gold too. Its
a nice alterative to Arcade Emulation,I still
like the Dreamcast Alpha 3 since it includes
all fighters from Super Street Fighter 2,and
the best fighter control pad is the old Sega
Saturn 6-Button pad which can work on just
about any system with a controller adapter.

I've bought the Japanese version of Anthology a while ago and the games included from the beginning on are Z1, Z2 Z3 and Pocket Fighter.
Secret games include (though I've got a bad memory) an English version of Z2, Z2 Gold, Z2 Dash and Z3 Upper.
And NO loading times... It feels like as if you were in heaven when playing...

Its not the sprite handling capabilities that makes it closer to the arcade, its the fact that the saturn has more ram then the psx.

Who the hell cares how someone else plays a game.
You're an idiot if you post something like "lol I could wreck you in this game".

The soundtrack sounds like from final fight second round.

Probably because Sodom (the one in red) was the second boss in Final Fight CD.

Try and adjusting the Turbo in the options menu and see if you can play on the highest setting. That was the most coolest part of the game.

The goal of the videos I made was not to do super Combo and such, but just to show you how a game looks and plays.
And yes, I need more practice on this game ;)

you need more practice, but thanks for the video
