I don't see how people think Helghast are the good guys. They're not. I looked at the story line in depth, I've played these games for years, I write story lines. Helghan is the bad guy, the point is to have some justification behind their actions, so you don't absolutely hate them. The ISA are supposed to learn from this and become better people. The Helghans shouldn't have wanted vengeance so much. There might have been another chance at peace between the two sides.

The area around Helgan was controlled by the Helgast and a crucial route for trading ships to pass through towards other planets (such as Vecta or the Earth).
The Helghast raised their taxes for all trespassers and so provoked a war.
Though the ISA did make it impossible for the Helghasts to live without the high taxes.
if the Helghast are somehwhat superhumans becuase of the planets atmosphere then how were the ISA able to fight on helghan without some sort of gasmask? and also i think the helghast can survive a nuke becuase their entire planet is toxic and they live on it
Did anyone notice the changeover in Killzone 3. Where in Killzone 2 anyone could feel some respect for the Helghast and their motives and there where good charismatic characters (Visari, Radec) build arround it to support that kind of feeling, they are replaced by a complete idiot and stereotyped villian like Stahl. In order to make the Helghast look bad. And gain more sympathy with the ISA even though they, the ISA were the cause of war, invaded and "destroyed" Helghan in the end.

@MattyJPGreg LOL VISARI'S A BEAST at speeches XP orlock was strong too, too bad he died though =( stupid Stahl.. but the BIGGEST ASSHOLE in the game was Rico =( (i didn't play kz2, i saw the cutscenes, but because of the cutscenes and the kz3 story trailer, i got kz3 =o) he killed the main helghast leaders cuz he raged o-o (ex. Visari's death) i just hope Kz4 will be better than kz3, i was a bit dissappointed with kz3 because it just wasn't nearly as effective as kz2's cutscenes =(
@HelghanEmpire Indeed, I played both and LOVE KZ3 in general but there were a few disappointing things about it, such as the fact that you don't actually play as the Helghast in the story they just make you think that and get our hopes up for nothing at the very beginning, as well as KZ2 having a somewhat superior plot and much better ending. Ah well, I am certain KZ4 will not disappoint at all. :)
@MattyJPGreg lol yea.... i just hope thye can add patches to the game, i played kz3's multiplayer and i'm LOVING IT, but sadly, i went to return my game for another game, it's completely glitched, i lost my infiltrator class, like, the good stuff, i don't have my shotgun anymore o-o i have to use my submachine gun =( i don't even have my assault rifle o-o but it's not just that, i don't even have a secondary weapon even thoguht i bought it o-o, but it's ok, i still got my marksman class XP
@HelghanEmpire That sucks, yeah they do need to patch a few things, and wow Infiltrator and Marksman are my most used classes too lol. I haven't been on the game in forever but MW3 has gotten me back into the FPS universe so after I'm done fooling around on SR3 I'll return to Killzone which I dearly miss. :D
@MattyJPGreg lol... infiltrator's the easiest, 60-70% of the people playing sucks and don't look at the team's name's properly, so that's why i use a pistol, run, melee, run off =P
@MattyJPGreg LOL it's so easy, but i started a new acc on KZ, lol i started using tactician, it's ok, kinda cheap, easy to use, same thing as your everyday cod gameplay, run and gun with uav every 30 sec, but i tried medic and OMG it's the hardest career to use, people die RIGHT after you revive them, but it's so fun when you max the self revive =O cuz you can just jump back in anytime after the 3 seconds =P

@viowave killzone 3 was actually the most disappointing ending to any story i can think of. the killzone universe had such promise and i loved the first two games and to end it the way they did was just disgusting.
We know the story we just want to see the image. Picture a flashback where you play as a child version of Visari's and grows older when you get further in the story. Learn how he does'nt need a gasmask to survive and how he became ruler. There will be times of hardship and fans wanna see what he does to make his people survive.

Did anyone notice the changeover in Killzone 3. Where in Killzone 2 anyone could feel some respect for the Helghast and their motives and there where good charismatic characters (Visari, Radec) build arround it to support that kind of feeling, they are replaced by a complete idiot and stereotyped villian like Stahl. In order to make the Helghast look bad. And gain more sympathy with the ISA even though they, the ISA were the cause of war, invaded and "destroyed" Helghan in the end.

He has NOTHING on Visari, Orlock and Radec, the Triumvirate of the Helghan Empire and truest villains of the series. Visari's death) i just hope Kz4 will be better than kz3, i was a bit dissappointed with kz3 because it just wasn't nearly as effective as kz2's cutscenes =(

@HelghanEmpire Indeed, I played both and LOVE KZ3 in general but there were a few disappointing things about it, such as the fact that you don't actually play as the Helghast in the story they just make you think that and get our hopes up for nothing at the very beginning, as well as KZ2 having a somewhat superior plot and much better ending. Ah well, I am certain KZ4 will not disappoint at all. :)

@MattyJPGreg lol yea.... i just hope thye can add patches to the game, i played kz3's multiplayer and i'm LOVING IT, but sadly, i went to return my game for another game, it's completely glitched, i lost my infiltrator class, like, the good stuff, i don't have my shotgun anymore o-o i have to use my submachine gun =( i don't even have my assault rifle o-o but it's not just that, i don't even have a secondary weapon even thoguht i bought it o-o, but it's ok, i still got my marksman class XP

I haven't been on the game in forever but MW3 has gotten me back into the FPS universe so after I'm done fooling around on SR3 I'll return to Killzone which I dearly miss. :D

@MattyJPGreg LOL it's so easy, but i started a new acc on KZ, lol i started using tactician, it's ok, kinda cheap, easy to use, same thing as your everyday cod gameplay, run and gun with uav every 30 sec, but i tried medic and OMG it's the hardest career to use, people die RIGHT after you revive them, but it's so fun when you max the self revive =O cuz you can just jump back in anytime after the 3 seconds =P

I want a game where we fight as helghast and get their story of being exterminated by the overbearing ISA. ... but, while i did not appreciate the story in 3, the multiplayer is the most balanced and fun multiplayer for shooters anywhere. @directHITz int he first game helghast forces attacked Vetka (the name of the planet) from orbit meaning troops were EVERYWHERE on the planet almost at once, Vekta being a 'founding' world as in a world being created for better use later. Thus most people were either company workers or ISA guards. The helghast just kill every human they see, death to non-helghans.
