In my opinion, the music of JS Bach was adapted by Marco Antonio Guimaraes for this presentation. He is the leader of Uakti group. See url's in the description. You should listen to them.

That is correct. In each "movement" of this ballet, Marco Antonio Guimarães weaved different melodies by Bach. The overture, for instance, begins with the Choral from the Cantata 147 played in reverse; as it develops, he weaves the Prelude of the first cello suite, the Choral from the Cantata 140 and Jesu Meine Freude.

This movement, "Ciranda", is the coupling of the Prelude and the Cantata 140 Choral.

The ballet ends with the same prelude played in the organ.

boy, young choreographer? not every note must have a movement. Also a few seconds of stillness within constant movement sometimes is desire by viewers? Just a comment.thanks for giving us the chance to see it. kudos to all...and much luck in future.

butifarra61, I believe this 'overdose' of movement is intentional here. When we watch the entire choreography ('Bach') we can see that Pederneiras, in fact a very experienced choreographer, alternates moments of intense body movement with others of complete stillness which, I agree with you, are absolutely necessary ro allow viewers to 'breathe'. This particular part is called 'Ciranda' and that's why the couples dance making circular movements and always holding hands. Thanks for the comment!
