@UppishBS possibly because you didn't do the quest "defender of the light"? In that one the temple of shadows is going to destroy the wellspring, I assume if you don't do it they succeed then murder oakfield

@LotCSpartan You eat celery and only celery to lose weight, you need to join the Temple of Shadows then continue to sacrifice people like 7 or more times well until you get the mission ok. Hoped this helped if you need to know anything else please let me know.

I personally Love Oak Field i think it really the most peaceful place in the game.. if i believed in a heaven it would be oak field for me... lately I've been having thoughts of maybe building a place like oak field buying a huge piece of land and start building homes and farm areas.. using the windmill and water wheel for power needs plant apple and tangerine trees and so on i find it hard to place the evil side of fable i guess i don't find joy and fun in the act of killing people...

@lightninman1 Decapitation is possible when you gain enough skill. When you start out you can only fire the gun, then you can get aim, then zoom, then target other parts of the body. Once you are good enough you can decapitate people with a shot

I did this quest. When I got back from the spire, my wallet got screwed. I lost over 16,000 gold due to a fine of 33x murder and 1 account of vandalism when I shot a dude in the sandgoose. Well at least it was fun killing those temple of light idiots.

@patje1998 no there was a quest before entering the spire. you had to defend the temple of light. if you didnt do it the temple of light would be destroyed when you came back. if you did the quest the temple would still be there

After you have finished the crucible for the first time, travel back to the tempel of light. Theres a new quest available now called Defender of the light.

If you do this quest, temple of shadows will be destroyed when your character returns from the spire.

In addition, after returning from the Tattered Spire, you'll be able to purchase the Temple of Shadows and the Temple of Light will have fallen apart

Anyway The only thing that looks like a gatling pistol is a turret pistol... And Even then it's slower to reload compared to other guns... give me a clockwork any day...

master flintlock pistol from knothole island with maxed out Speed and Accuracy and four augment slots with nothing but skill, luck, electricity, bonus damage, etc. augments kills most enemies in a single shot. i prefer that but goddammit does the Red Dragon make you feel like way more of a gunslingin badass.

If by return from the spire you mean that youre a guard,then just follow through with youre missions.And if its empty in oakfield,make sure its not early in the morning/late at night

If you saved Oakfield in the Defending the Light Quest then Oakfield will flourish and you can actually purchase the Temple of light... this is a good choice if you do it... but if you do the oakfield massacre or, Being an idiot, Leave for the spire immediately... Then it goes into ruins... Oakfield will be full of hollowmen if you did the massacre thing. Teresa DID warn you to do some quests before you headed to the spire...
