Indedd, it is funny, Taiwan is still a part of China allthough Taiwan would like to see it different.

Anyway, the iPhone parts are made in the following countries:

USA, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Germany and UK. The final assembly is done at the Foxxcon factory in Shenzhen, CHINA.

China makes low quality cosumer products, that's why parts have to imported from different conutries. For example, USA they assembly BMW, but the engines were imported from German, because they don't have the technical skill and knowledge. On the other hand, German have the skill and knowledge, to provide quality product. However, as they want to keep the profit down, they tended to makes ther own parts, as the result produced low quality product. Yes still funny, still think my english is bad.
