  • someone please answer, could i keep 2 tiger barbs with 6 platy, in a 15 gallon?

  • Get a tiny Bala shark and watch him grow. I have a 60 gallon, bought the smallest shark i could and he is now over a foot long!!

  • nice tank.

However. Tiger barbs don't require much skill though.

With a 90 gallon, I would personally try a different combo of fish

    Since you like tiger barbs.

Why not add 6 clown loaches and 6 kuhli loaches for the bottom of the tank.

They school with the tiger barbs!

Then you will have "Striped" community

  • Dont get me wrong, i love tiger barbs and i have 6 myself but big tank, big fish

  • Should have used Preparation H

  • Guys i need help! Ok iv got 3 barb tigers and 1 of them this last week as gotten really fat like her belly sits down....Her behaviour is all normal she is healthy and eats like mad but not sure why her belly is big??

  • @princi57 pregnant ?

  • this is my goal, to have a tank like that.

  • amazing tank! I love it.

  • well you will have more then 20 soon wink wink nug nug

  • How many tiger barbs should I get for a 20 gallon tank

  • you can get like 50 tiger barbs in that thing..

  • You are a brave man to put a 90gallon aquarium on a stand like that!

  • my pleco hides and never comes out

  • ya dude at least 10 more and those barbs would be so happy

  • I want your tank. Bad

  • i would add another 20 tiger barbs! That is a great sized tank

  • Those tiger barbs are in heaven. I bet you could have at least 10 more tigers and it still wouldn't bee to crammed for them.

  • How many tiger barbs do you have?I'm planning buy a school of different kind of tiger barb on my 75 gallon.Cool Tanks.. :D

  • the rule of thumb is one inch of fish per gallon of water usually

  • rules like that dont have any merit

fish species is the number one determining factor in stocking plans

    nice 90

  • well at the height of the madness i had 25 barbs and the one pleco (now about 7 or 8"). down to 15 now. some of the fish were 4 years old! as $ allows i would like to get back to 25 or so. it was neat, there were 2 sub-schools typically then.

  • to bad non of them bred you should look in on the enviorment or things needed for breeding you wont have a problem unless you get older fry that eat the younger fry thats about it but they will live supposivly lolz

  • If money is an issue just go to petco. sometimes you can get 5 tiger Barbs for 5 dollars. I just did. drop about $30 and you could get back to 25.

  • @jankins350 if you already have a school of tigerbarbs and introdue new ones will they allow them to join the school or no?

  • I have a question I know u should keep minimum of 5 barbs. I have 5 normal tiger barbs right now, but do u think it'd be ok if I only get like 3 green and 3 albino and they will still be accepted in the shoal? Their not gonna be diverse or anything right? like sticking wit their own kind and end up nipping on fins cuz there's only 3 of the green and 3 of the albino? or would they all be 1 single shoal a total of 11 barbs as one?

  • good ?, someone should answer

  • hey i have a 10 gallon tank with 6 tigerbarbs and i plecko in there.I was going to add a paradise fish in there too so will my fish get along with each other? please reply with info asap!!!!

  • well, tiger barbs can be fin nippers. and paradise are nasty like bettas. So you might want to watch them. Maybe add more plants and the tiger barbs may be too interested in themselves, instead of the paradise fish

  • nice tank. i like the simplicity.

  • nice of you to give them a big tank

  • that's a really big tank for barbs

  • SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY!!!! HI I AM PLANNING ON GETTING 5 OR MAYBE SIX TIGER bArbs FOR MY TEN GALLON> WILL THEY BE FINE IN A TEN GALLON FOR THEY're LIFETIME AND WILL THEY BE hAPPY??? BY THE WAY I AM NOT PLAnnING ON PUTTING ANY OTHER FISH IN THE TANK JUST THE BARBS.

  • 5 or 6 sould be fine....i wouldnt go any more than that though...

  • I think 5-6 is fine. I have 10 cichlids in a 20 gallon. Dont worry too much about it.

  • that would be fine but as jankins says i wouldn't go anymore then that

  • @iversunfan 10 gallon is small, I bought a 20H kit from Petco it was on sale with hood, heater and filter for $50. Look for a package deal. My 55L was $189.99 with a whisper ex70, 200W heater, and hood lamps. Walmart has cheap kits. I keep some Cichlids in my 20H but my 20L has enough Filtration to easily throw on a 40 or another 55 when they grow.

  • That's nice! Kudos to you for having a lot of room for your fish!

  • maybe ur stupid idk 4ft x 2ft x 1.5 is 90g -.-

  • nice tank! is that all you plan on putting in there? i think you should do a few more barbs, id look a little more "full"

  • nice tank!but u should really look into oscars!they could be with ur barbs!

  • oscars would rip his barbs to shreds you tit head

  • HAHA " you tit head" ll you are very funny

  • i know i am.

  • lol

  • cool and where do you get water plants?

  • i got the plants at the local store. sadly the tigers kept eating them!!! i now have some 24" plastic plants. unsure why they consistently ate them, i feed them a lot! and to all the nay-sayers....yes it is a 90. 4'x2'x1.5'.

  • @jankins350 fish eat even if theyr not hungry :D

  • where did you get your live plants? I stopped by petco and petsmart but the plants were so crappy and torn. Yours look really nice

  • simple, don't go to petco and petsmart lol. in my experience pet stores never supply good fish. i get all mine from garden centers and they do very well

  • huh?! garden centers??? I get mine from fish stores

  • petsmart has okay fish, but petco has bad fish... haha

  • wow thats pretty big for tiger barbs

  • this is a pretty cool video

  • Great tank, pretty boring fish though

  • nice tank
