  • From and old iphone owner: I'm writing this from my nokia lumia and, take it from me, it is a fantastic phone and OS combo I have ever come accross!

  • metro theme just make me..horny?

    lol that sounds geek..

    ...

    ...

    but it's true

  • I tried wm7 on a display unit yesterday and it has by far the best interface. I have used ios and currently using android and wm7 makes them look like yesterday's technology. I dont know how "customizable"

    it can be though.

  • This phone helped me get laid.

  • This shit fucking sucks android is better

  • Wp7 is such a beautiful phone my dad bought me one on my birthday all my friends in highschool who has Iphone Androids and Blackberrys are talking about my phone i love my samsung focus.

  • thats true the fact is wp7 is a way more beautiful looking phone OS than the iphone but cause the iphone is so popular no one really has the windows phone 7 as yet to know this but hopefully this fall with the mango upgrade, nokia deal and the marketing people will see this

  • Had this phone since November of last year, I use it 24x7! I have a LG Optimus 7 (CAN/EUR), and no design has beat it yet imo.

  • It's an iPhone.

    But worse....

  • Hi I called this phone a failure 1 year ago.

    I stand by my statement

  • I like it how the start of the video says: imagine your Ideal PHONE :D IPHONE :D

  • @KaiAndrius android. GALAXY S2!!!! FTW!! its faster than ur ipad 2.

  • @RefreshChannel I don't have any stuff from Apple, and I'm using Android OS powered phone as well

  • Microsoft is always ready to provide the direction to the industry. When other people didn't have apps there were windows mobile devices with it. Now, when Microsoft comes up with a user centric platform you are being critical just because it's not what others are doing, makes me laugh. Microsoft doesn't really care about what you say. They are way ahead in everything and you just don't see it. You'll only see it when Google follows with same functionality, maybe.

Thumbs if you feel the same.

  • @Video9211 Blah blah blah. So if I get it right, you want to say, that windows mobile with apps and all that was early stage of everything we have now ? And you think that was Microsoft idea ? You forgot Nokia, with Symbian, which was released years before windows mobile and which had all - apps, multitask and stuff like that. The only thing it didn't had - good UI. Somehow I feel that WP7 will go the same way as Zune. That is to extinction. Well maybe Nokia will help to spread it a bit.

  • The interface is beautiful.

  • google:- the yapper zapper. Its a very cool mini cell phone jammer

  • this phone is just a demo of OS is it? not for sale ?

  • The Windows Phone 7 is so cool.

  • looks just as shitty as the zune. ill stick with apple...

  • Ps getting rid of my iphone.

  • I cannot wait until August for my upgrade to get one of these!

  • Windows Phone 7 works incredibly well and is quick. Mango brings some great updates. The UI really stands out, well done.

  • Praise Microsoft!

  • @pellizon2 With their flat squared style design they've totally set themselves apart from iOS, Android or any of the likes. I for one am loving it and back to your statement that is for starters one thing that is clearly totally original.

    *thumbs down to you*

  • I prefer Android :-P

  • This is uploaded already on:

    downloadblinks . c__o__m

  • Zune is amazing. I have one myself. At least I don't have to pay for apps.

  • The best phone for those who want to be stuck with MICROSOFT's self-imposed limitations and restrictions: no sd card, no source code available, no third party browser, no open standards or specifications, no way to install other os like in Android where you can install for instance Cyanogen Mod.

    Definitely BAD CHOICE!

  • @eyfhsdksd that's why microsoft bought skype.

  • apple can go suck butt, praise microsoft

  • wp7 suck ive played with it they should change that home screen i like how there ui is though when u click on the box that hott still need alot of work Android still #1 to me i dont like iphone cause i get tired of seeing boxes all damn day.. but will see what these 3 company have to show in the future for anyone that buying it should be exciting

  • whats this song

  • Corroborando mi comentario anterior:

    watch?v=rGpN5hwOxR8

watch?v=_LIUS8-q1zk - y todos los de esta serie

    watch?v=WVvtzkpyRTg && watch?v=b9ifQvQCO7Y

  • lol microsoft always tries and fails, just like what they did with zune?

  • Windows is bullshit

  • @angrynerds1 go suck butt

  • what is the music title in the video ?

  • Windows phones are nice and all but it's too windowy. I want the feel and technological advancement of a true android. This whole windows phone is too gay. Only girls like those phones- REAL men deal with droids.

  • I prefer the Incredible over ANY windows phone every time. You just can't be a true Droid phone. Windows phones are for amateurs who can't handle the sleekness of the droid phones and flexibility of running free. Windows phones is like comparing a mac to a pc or a T-mobile to AT&T... Droid is King of all phones :)

  • @hukiworld King of swap meet, the driod OS is a free OS, its like mass produced cheapness, that y its available everywhere. If you want quality, u have to pay for it.

  • @karz12 Your comment is pure nonsense because droid OS isn't free. Since when can you walk into a store and buy a droid phone for free you dork lmao! Now I can even get an iphone4 and flash it to metro. Like it or not, metro will rule over all carriers by 2012 because you simply can't beat their plan. Why the heavens will anyone will $100 for internet? Paying for internet at home on computer, on phone and on laptop mobile to go lol! That's too much for same service on different devices.

  • @hukiworld the driod OS is free. This is taken from the driod website WORD FOR WORD

"Here you can find the information and source code you need to build an Android-compatible device."

  • @karz12 Anything is free ONCE you buy it you hahaha! I can get any OS free also illegally. I can also get any music free, games free, lots of things free but we all know inside we are stealing it so stop with the nonsense already geez. I'm done trying to make my point- talk to my ass now.

  • @hukiworld in defense of a free OS, free cheap shit, now your a quality guy. Im done trying to make my point - talk your own ass now.

  • @hukiworld Very true. I will never be a Droid phone. What a cruel world.

  • which phone is it??

  • I have used all wireless phone platforms (due to work) and I recently purchased the Windows 7 Phone to try it out. It is by far the easiest to get around and find what your looking for. The system is very quick and clean. Beautiful transitions. Games run great. Apps open and close quickly. Maps and bing are quick and amazing. Everyone I have let handle the phone has been wowed. Microsoft did a great job this time and this is in its infancy. Looking forward to the next gen.

  • Windows Phone 7 features a version of Internet Explorer Mobile with a rendering engine that is “halfway between IE7 and IE8″. this make it easy for developer to adapt presentation to the correct look Internet Explorer on Windows Phone 7 allows the user to maintain a list of favorite web pages and show a tile linking to a web page on the Start screen. more at mobile10.org and some other tablet pc tips

  • can i use this phone with metro pcs?

  • Imagine Windows phone 8 ui metro 3D clean menu live tiles.

  • I'm sure the interface will take some getting used to just like the first time I used my friends Zune

  • Everyone is being so critical, but most of the reviews I've seen and people I know that have the phones have been positive about Windows Phone 7 phones. I have to get a new phone soon. I will definitely be looking into WP7 phone. THere is nothing really driving me to get a Iphone, Droid, or Blackberry. I really have not liked most Blackberrys I've played around wit

  • Yeah nice crappy windows thing, now they will try to use their influence and nokia's to sell this thing and put all their annoying licenses, limitations and bugs as they always have done! Thumbs up who wants this thing to die! ;)

  • The UI looks disorganized, with all the extra random things that carriers put in your phone that no one really needs.

  • Comment removed

  • Can't wait to see this on Nokia high-end devices.

  • Man, all these new phones are beginning to seem the same now. iOS, Windows, Android, etc etc... They all do the same thing, just looks a little different! What's 1 extra megapixel from 1 phone to another do?! On that screen, it doesn't even matter >_>

One thing that I want developed that is in sci-fi movies (but not really sci-fi) because we have the technology to do it, is "smart" glasses. Looks better and still able to do the same thing!

  • Ahhh, those were the days, almost 1 year ago, when everything was bliss and there were no problems in the world at all...my how things have changed...

  • I WOULD GET IT IF THE INTERFACE WAS MORE LIKE THE PREVIOUS VERSION

  • Everyone! I am talking about the Omnia 7 not being the the US yet.

  • I want the name of the song please!

  • i just ordered it yesterday... im excited...hope its better than my iPhone, which im tired of

  • @AnnaLicious12 It sure is, any smart phone is.

I'll stick to my HTC HD Desire, very happy with it.

  • @AnnaLicious12 It is man, it is.

  • @AnnaLicious12 why didn't u just jailbreak your iPhone-you would never get tired of it

  • My fiance has this phone and I love it! The maps are AMAZING, it pinpoints exactly where you are and if you lose your phone, you can lock it right from the computer, make it ring - even if it's dead or you can erase everything off the phone or send the phone a text! The font is huge which I need andthe contrast and brightness is amazing! I definitely want to get this phone!

  • its not in us? i saw it here in canada like in november

  • говницо по моему

  • говницо по моему

  • I love my Windows Phone ! LG Optimus 7 all the way ... :-D

  • what phone is that? looks like omnia 7

  • @japmeet123 It is Windows phone 7.

  • @WalheKerr no he means the device, the hardware, the "phone"

  • @japmeet123 ya i think its omnia 7.

  • Wish they had this song as a ringtone for the phone =/

  • It's the iPhone for straight people!

  • @ZOMbyNE it's the iphone for tasteless people.

  • @ZOMbyNE oh no you didnt

  • @ZOMbyNE best comment ever posted on youtube :P

  • what's the name of that phone not the the OS

  • @s3lvr Other than start menu wm 6.5 is way better than 6.1 because it works faster and dont have anymore that damn cpu eating bug. Still other menus that you pop up are maybe too big but that can be possibly changed editing the registry or using one of tweak programs. The only problem is that start menu reg entries doesnt work for my device and it still takes up ram and I only have 22mb left at reboot. so I replaced it with list like menu. Its better but i still not good so I use quick menu

  • @s3lvr AHA I love seeing tech idiots like you get all pissed off over a cell phone

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJTFernShow Its not hardware I'm ranting but its software itself I'm talking about Windows mobile 7 not pocket pc on what it is installed!

  • s3lvr thats the greatest fucking story i ever heard.. can i hear it again?

  • @AciddReign scroll down and you can READ it again :P

  • chill the fuck out s3lvr it's just a phone..

  • ...everything is bigger now the icons the menus are now full screen.. like wtf?!? im blind or what? maybe is windows mobile now for kids or disabled only? and whats up with start menu items are now arranged in zigzag mode! Really? One is up another is down and then up down.. wtf? Imagine having that kind of icon arrangement on desktop pc on desktop on file explorer everywhere its kinda annoying isnt it.. whats wrong with simple grid arranged icons..

  • @s3lvr Here,s a couple possible answers:1) the masses ARE going to use their devises of all kinds while driving or otherwise multitasking despite laws or what have you. Better visibility features are more attractive, thinking in marketing terms!2)The human bone structure when palming a devise functions smoother in a zig-zag pattern, the visibility remains more in tact while a "grid" will not.

  • then they came up with wm6. not much difference still got those softkeys and of course filesys.exe bug - what a shame they didn't fix it

Skin of wm6 is prettier and os performance is better

    thats key features of wm6

wm6.1 just like wm6 nothing improved.. or wait they added task manager, oh gee now thats cool a basic tool that every windows must have took many versions.. and it actually works you can even view processes.. wait you cant terminate a process? Nevermind! still got to ...

  • ...didnt work, anyway you cant patch it because its in rom and only way to patch it is to do so with rom image on pc and then you need to flash pocket pc again with updated wm rom. If you have issues with filesys theres a workaround that makes it bug less likely to occur simply free up main memory and install all your programs on sd card the more free space on main memory you got less often filesys will start to perform a "mystery" task that uses up all your cpu...

  • ...so you will eventually lose your patience and smash your pda because its sluggish performance that never ends! I looked up that issue and it appears that there is problem with main memory so that every time you (or windows) delete files from main memory filesys will need to update that information but it doesnt do it right away it starts when it wants too and when that "downtime" occurs its best leave you pda alone and let it finish task. there was some patches for filesys most of them...

  • ... btw that not-so-wanted softkey feature is nothing to compare with damn bug they bring with "windows use storage for storing files instead of ram" feature. Its a serious performance issue with filesys.exe process (its part of windows itself so killing it crashes windows and you need to reboot). The problem is occurring on ipaq hx4700 (awesome pda), on random intervals filesys.exe starts to eat 100% of your cpu for like 15 minutes then it stops. That occurs so often that you just cant stand...

  • ... so you can click everywhere on screen so why not have a menu bar why replace it with softkeys its pointless.. yes it looks prettier but why not skin menu bar to make it prettier if they want to just make something new they could just skin it and let a pocket pc be a pocket pc not mobile. Older applications still use menubar so its not completely gone, anyways I got used to that softkeys and rest of it still feels like desktop windows and thats just great...

  • ...but by replacing menu bar with "softkeys" it started to act more like those stupid cheap phone user interfaces like nokia os. Now you no longer got like up to 8 menus like "file edit view tools" but instead there are only 2 options in most aplication 1st softkey is menu and then you get file, edit,... other softkey is usually a most used submenu and thats it and in middle theres keyboad why they did this on nokia you use keypad so thats why there are softkeys but pocket pc has a stylus...

  • why is windows mobile getting worse and worse

back then in age of windows mobile 2003 it looked like a real windows and it was serious design then when came out wm5 it improved over 2003 because it was first wm ever that use storage for storage not ram - no more worries of losing data if battery empties completely! Also now that you got all your ram for executing programs you will get less out of memory issues. another plus goes for better skin...

  • Give it 6-8 weeks until they thrown in the towel on this one too... I think Microsoft had one product people ever actually liked, and that was their Surface table, of course Microsoft knows this so they made sure it isn't available to anyone who wants it.

  • Had so many phones in the past iPhone 3G & 4 Htc Evo aswell as the Samsung Epic. and i can honsly say I LOVE MY HTC HD7 out of all of them the os feels so nice and very quick. a few updates and it will be a 10

  • I don't like new black view... :(

  • i rellay want a wp7 phone

  • Wow what a beauty!!!

  • wow i looked at this phone today! incredible no lag so smooth!! i want it so badly!

  • Update continued:

Due to to many different phone manufactures and stores to buy apps from, I feel it could be a little confusing to newcomers to the smartphone market. Not an iPhone killer but a very good competitor. Android look out!..your days may be numbered.

  • 12 years of development and this is it??

  • @TheChopone not really, they scrapped the original Windows Mobile after the 6.5.3 release and rebuilt everything. That's why Phone 7 took so long to come out.

  • @hsevershine. The tiles are very bland looking in the demo. Looks cheap and about as appealing as Windows version 1. From what I have read, it is behind other smartphones...no copy/paste or multitasking yet. Time will tell if Microsoft can stay in the game so late into it.

  • Update: I got a chance to look at a Samsung phone running Windows Phone 7. The Samsung had a really nice display... very close to the iPhone 4's Retina display. It was very animated when interacting with it. After changing the tile color to something other than the default Teal or as I call it the "puke" teal color, the phone was very appealing. I think it has a very good chance of replacing Google's Android OS.

  • @MatrixRoland NOpe maybe the IPhone but Never the Android

  • Came out today at AT&T store

  • How come this phone isn't even real? Why doesn't Microsoft use this phone in the US?

Thumbs up if you want that phone in the U.S.A.

  • @Kelleymuro

um, it is available in the US :P but Verizon isn't set to pick it up till sometime in 2011 >.> I'm not happy.

  • @BAMchelsea Seriously? So I'll have to wait till 2011 for Verizon to get the Omnia 7?

  • @Kelleymuro I live in Canada and it's much better here

  • @Kelleymuro Uhhhh this phone IS REAL!. ATT has it.

  • @euricdinkins hm, PM me the link.

  • @euricdinkins ITS IN THE UK!

  • @Kelleymuro

    it's called samsung omnia 7.

  • @linkin54321 last time I checked it wasn't in the U.S!!

  • @Kelleymuro its not the in the usa? really? i saw it in my local rogers and telus stores in toronto..are you sure?

  • @ShadowakaBigG yeah, its really not here! Rumor has it should be here 2011.

  • @Kelleymuro it already is :)

  • @Kelleymuro umm smart one this is in the US... go to any AT&T store and look for windows phone 7...

  • @Kelleymuro Thats because it isn't a phone, its the emulator you get with visual studio.

  • @Kelleymuro it is in the usa

  • How bland!...I think I'd rather watch paint dry than stare at this dull looking interface! I thought Microsoft could be a little mote creative than this.

  • @MatrixRoland bland..... wow you need some specs buddy.....where the hell do u see bland..... it rocks, its 10x better than android and iphone and i have used them all.... this is revolutionary...

  • I have it and it is great. I am amazed of what Microsoft has delivered. I bet is the better experience. Much better than Iphone, you have facebook easy, xbox, MS Office, brilliant interface, good reading and using, OUTLOOOOOK !!! hotmail, twiter, Zune much better and cheaper than itunes,.. for a worker that loves social nets and love playing and enjoying multimedia and picturing as well of use of hundred nice applications this is far better than iphone. I am saying pure truth after using it.

  • my head is hurting from all this touch screen crap

  • Can apps be bought from India coz the phone isn't official here?

  • will you be able to put this on a WM6 phone like the XV6800?

  • @malcolmcox no, the hardware requirements are really high (like 1Ghz processor) -- basically almost nothing on the market now can even run this. they'll be developing new handsets for it.

  • Internet Explorer should NOT be on this. Death to IE!!

  • @infectedgerms The reviews say that IE runs fine on this.

  • @infectedgerms in some level i understand your frustration with IE. But do you have any reason to want death for a peaty lifeless browser ?

I am using FF my self but only for the ad-ons but i admit that am very intrigued from the speed and new features of IE9. I am continuing to use FF but for sure i do not want death for IE ! . So why so much hate? Tell me about your childhood.

  • @billytsik

I haven't used IE for years. Up until last year I used FF before moving to opera. However, I have recently tried IE9 an I must say that I am pretty impressed with it.

  • what cellular service is this phone on?

  • @fencer10892 Should be all of them. If most services carried a Windows Mobile phone in the past, they should eventually get a model for WP7...or you can get an unlocked one with a SIM card, or whatever.

  • I've owned and loved my iPhone for the last 3 years, but the iOS has barely changed in all that time and is looking a bit tired at this stage. This windows thing looks refreshing and I'd definitely consider changing.

  • @richiebres I entirely agree.

  • @richiebres look much like changing a nice car for a ford fiesta.. refreshing and new for sure! usually what is good is normal not to change much.. and also.. why not change with an android instead?

  • Michael Porter would be saddened to see Microsoft's decision to enter into this market. This was perhaps the stupidest waste of investors money possible. People are already satisfied with the Apple iPhone or the Android. They have become accustomed to them. M.s. would have been better off trying to enter into a more original market or one where they would actually have a shot at competing successfully.

  • @kkjhhkjhkj you do not know Microsoft.. they are long term runners. THis battle has just started. Are you sure Microsoft will not ne leading this market in ten years from now ? I bet they will do. TRy Phone 7... it is really amazing... please do it.

  • its software seems very cool, but just like every other microsoft product: its ui design it's even worse than poor

  • My God, this thing looks boring as hell.

  • good review on windows phone 7

  • question, if the phone with microsoft windows phone 7 has the virus... what can we do about it?

  • I'm glad Microsoft has able to put some of their less successul projects together (ie zune), into one place to make something that looks pretty sweet. The iPhone is great, but the UI is really bland.

  • Honestly doesn't really look that impressive. I'll stick with Android until I see something better

  • anyone knowing what's the name of the music played here?

  • @Lassik2 Cuz your a gay homo fag.

  • Looks like a load of wasted space on most screens MUSIC! PEOPLE! And a big advert / icon for Internet Explorer and XBOX LIVE. Lots of room for improvement and tweaks.

But at least it looks really different from WinMo 6.5. I wonder how stable it is?

  • Those lovely transitions are just brilliant...oh, wait, oh yeah, they're going to actually just waste lots of my time while using my phone. Hmmm...guess Microsoft should have paid more attention to the iPhone. lol

  • I've had an iphone and 3 android phones running donut motoblur, stock eclair, and froyo HTC sense. I abandoned all forms of Windows years ago and I even have to admit, the Windows 7 UI looks pretty nice. I'm not sure I like the home color scheme with that blue (which is customizable if I'm not mistaken) but the actual app interfaces are just amazing! Looks very smooth.

  • Garbage

  • Windows phone 7, if you ever get the chance to use one are so far the easiest to use OS I have ever tested and my job is to look at all makes models 7 phone OS out on the market and right now win 7 is on some impressive phones at extremley low prices on contracts

  • @Lassik2 Not to mention that it takes too long for things to happen. I just want to make a fucking phone call!! I don't want to see a smooth animation of the dialpad about to grant me access to dialing!!!!!!!!

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND Seeing how your slow brain is, you'll spend 100 more times remembering the number to dial, compared to the 0.2 second animation. LOL..Morons

  • @xyz98741 Your grammar is slower than Microsoft.

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND And you suck elephant dicks, have fun :D
