  • I have watched all of your videos, so here are my questions:

    1. How does the parachute connect and how does it go through the rocket?

    2. How do you launch it? a long wire? and how does the rocket stand up? a stake?

  • only in television they don't mention 1 during countdown

  • Have you ever made a multistage rocket or ever wanted to try?

  • U r my role model

  • Well done man!!! Cool documentary!

  • Was that a sonic boom at 2:22 ?

  • i am trying to catch you online but i cant, am not sure of the difference.

  • HEY . I need some tips on cooking r candy. Thanks

  • very very nice

what kind of venturie do you use for this type of fuelbased rocket engine ?

    Thumbed up!

  • i heard you said you took one of the fuel out of the refrigerator.

is that where they are stored? and why? i thought moisture would damage them.

i am just getting into rocketry and i find you demonstration to be the best.

  • @regaly100 : r-candy stores well in the fridge in a zip lock back. It keeps the moisture out vs. sitting out on the counter in a humid climate.

  • Great Job!

    Any guess on Altitude?

I've really got to get my rocket finished.

  • ...Your flight never completed. It never hit the ground. Very nice! Thanks for sharing your work.

  • Great man

  • I watched your series on building the high power 5' PVC rocket and am glad you posted the the final video and that the mechanical deployment worked.

I do have a question however, you had a video showing the cooking of alien r-candy, but in this video it looked like you used regular r-candy. Was there a reason for this? Such as the alien r-candy not being powerful enough.

Have you used the alien candy in other rockets, and if so, what kind of results did you achieve?

    Great video tutorial.

  • @Dem0D1ck : I'm amazed at the interest in alien r-candy. That was just a curious test to see if I could make the fuel pourable using Ethylene Glycol. I never really developed or tested it much after that aside from one motor test. I guess I'm going to have to go back to that some day and see how it will perform in a flight.

  • @rocketmanbkk Thanks for your quick response, was just wondering if alien "r" was worth taking the time for. Don't know why you're amazed with our interest in alien "r" candy, it seems to be a viable fuel, yet no one has posted a video of it actually launching a rocket on YouTube, which peaked my curiosity. Learned a lot from your tutorial and am building my own rocket based on some of your ideas as well as those of Jim Yawn. I really do like your mechanical deployment system, ingenious.

  • awesome job there Ed, worked really well. I have been waiting for this video for like 6 months dude :)

  • Great job Ed!!! Did the engine burn through the rocket body near the fins? What was that black spot? Really nice flight.

  • Nice flight, looked good !

  • It was nice to see it all come together. Great flight. Congratulations!

  • Nice launch, but video quality (we cannot see a lot of the flight....) isn't so good. Still nice video :)
