isnt the FI meant to be better then the carb..?is so would that down grade the performance a bit..seen as they only use the carb is much more easy to service?
FI is easy for the average rider. In competition in certain conditions the carb is better. For example in GNCC, almost all the quads use carb: ktm xc, yfz, trx and even the new yfzR which has EFI, they've put a carb into it for GNCC. Bet you didn't know that...
This is because carb is a mechanic device and so, doesn't have electrical issues like the FI when the quads pass in the mud and water. So carb is more reliable in those conditions.

Yes, all that features are in the XC as well as the SX.

No, the XC is different. SX has a fast revving DOHC engine, 49.8" wide, lower, razr mx with dwt bealock wheels, wp suspension etc

Also, carb is easier in the competition because you don't have to carry a laptop around with you and understand electronics etc

Don't know. Either way it doesn't matter because the 450 and 525 are identical. Only the cylinder and piston changes.
