There are definitely better tutorials out there than this one. These girls usually do an awesome job, but you should never be gripping your flat iron so tightly that it drags through your hair and stops like hers does in this video. That is extremely damaging to your hair. It will also leave big kinks in your hair like hers does. Almost all of the other videos these girls do are awesome though!

I like using a flat iron more than a curling iron for curling, I think they look much better! And everyone, it takes practice to get it right. It also saves money, because a flat iron has a muti-purpose but a curling iron/barrel can only curl :)

it helps if you use your free hand to hold the end of the hair rather than hold onto the end of the flat iron so it moves smoother and it does not tug on the hair and creates the dents. you have the basic technique down but thats just another tip.

I usually don't comment but I tried this today and it really didn't work for me. My hair is probably too damaged to do it, and when I try and curl it, it barely curls anything, you have big curls and mine kind of just fell flat. A couple small pieces of my hair would curl, but the longer hair just stayed straight for the most part : (

You're being a little to hard on your hair in my opinion... you could very easily damage you're hair when you pull down that hard and firmly... I agree with adaezetula and jtrinh13 's comments. But I really love the technique you did, and I use this technique a lot but I'm not so hard on my hair with it and then there is not as many creases in my hair. I really love you're channel and your videos and I hope this was not taken offensively :)

i honestly used to curl my hair with a flatiron.. i do prefer curling iron curls more now... but with the flatiron it really needs to be a smooth flow in order for you to get smooth curls.. holding the flatiron too long on your hair makes it feel fried and gross...

you're doing too much turning. there's an easier way to curl your hair with the flat iron. don't too much turns. & your hair won't have those creases (; done it before.
