I actually want to do a video on that because it took me a long time to get it. In the meantime, try hovering the front portion of your tongue JUST under the roof of your mouth and blow out air WHILE vibrating your vocal cords. Trust me, it's not easy, but if you keep practicing and trying lightly different positions, you should get it.
I am a native english speaker but with a bit of a speech impediment (my "r" and "w" are blurred), which is a bit inconvenient considering my name is Kerry. Your video on those two sounds really helped -- I had 1-2 questions.
Could you either explain the same thing as far as how you're actually pronouncing each part of the words you mentioned above (like you did in the other video?)
Or... the word I hate more than anything is "world". Anything with that sound -- "girl".
It's easy to get "w" & "r" mixed up. The biggest difference is the tongue is tense & pushed back (or rises in the back) without actually touching the roof of your mouth.
Also, the "r" is very gutteral. Think of an angry dog and the tense sound he makes. Now purse your lips a little (almost like the "w" sound) and let the air out from your chest and the back of your throat.
As for "world", just after you say "w", push your tongue back & follow the above directions.
Hey, ma'am. Can you teach us that /r/ sound where you can sound like a Mexican saying, like, ARRRRRRRRRRRIBA, or something.

Thanks for the kind words.
I will try to do more "r" words, but I do have a list of other requested topics, so it may be a while before I can get to it.
