You know what was really sad about the Prequels? MAUL GOT KILLED OFF EARLY!!! He should have stayed all the way through the prequels and then finally got himself killed in ROTS! Why? throughout all of the prequels, Ewan did the most constistent acting job

Liam was the best in episode 1

Ian Mcdiarmid was great, but really overdid his part in episode 3... he let the psycho out in palpatine way too much in comparison to episode 6

Natalie was alright but she got shitty dialogue from lucas, making natural acting impossible

Hayden had shitty dialogue to read so he couldn't get much to act either...

What they did wrong though, is they used aluminum tubing for the prop duel. In the lightsaber community we used hollow 1" thick polycarbonate blades. MUCH more resistant.

No, I believe they are made out of polycarbon steel or somehthing similar. At least it's light waight steel. There are some sites that help you build them, or make them custom for you but they are not official and often expensive.

The blades are polycarbonate, that means a type of PLASTIC.

Have you read the Jedi Apprentice series by Jude Watson? They start when Obi Wan's 12, before he becomes Qui Gon's padawan, and continue until a few years before Phantom. It's not as cool as a movie starring Ewan, but they give way more detail and scope than a movie ever could. They're out of print now but there's used copies on amazon and they're floating around the internet, too.
