Casella is a percussion master-mind! The writing alone creates a specific energy that made this show un-stoppable. If you guys have the DVD, just watch the last 10 seconds of the show where the cymbal line is running forward and the snares and whalin' away on that roll. you can help but feel that adrenalin rush. You can only imagine what it felt like to perform it! This book couldn't have been written any other way!

Casella was actually the caption head of SCV from '96 up until '02. Gusseck was the caption head from '03 to '05. Casella still wrote the book in '03 and '04. Then he left SCV in '05 and Gusseck wrote the book that year.

vanguard is not the same because there caption head and percussion tech left to go to the cavaliers that's why they had the tilt in 06
