What garbage! This really is an indication of how far pop culture has fallen. Sure, they can hold they're instruments and draw a bow, but so can many others. That they choose to jump around like a bunch of bimbos and trash the music is inexcusable. They probably couldn't play Happy Birthday without reading it. Maybe if they learn pole dancing, cooking, or giving good head, they might someday become useful members of society.
Well they certainly don't seem to be reading music in this video. How odd. They're not really jump around like bimbos either. Mostly just standing there, smiling and playing. Hmmm, could it be you're jealous b/c they had the incentive to offer a little showmanship with a previously near-defunct music form? Oh and by the by, loving the absolutely sexist remarks there. Lovely. They found a way to take classical music and make it accessible to a modern audience, I think they are to be commended.
Draughanten, get serious, and listen to some real music. You're comments are as sickening as when Kenny G gets referred to as a jazz artist.
No, They're not reading (duh), because it's memorized. They had had to read it to memorize it. My point is they're playing by rote (stupid shit at that) and just mugging for show, and not improvising. There's certainly nothing creative going on in their show. Lawrence Welk's show was deeper.
And don't tell me their show isn't sexist; they started it.
And I object to your calling Vivaldi a near defunct music form. True, attendance at concerts continues to decrease but not because there's anything wrong with Vivaldi. Thee is however a lot wrong with our educational system, and capitalism and pop culture that results in a society where people don't know how to listen.
On another note, you don't play concert halls of that size without a decent bit of talent, so if you needed any further proof of the error of your ways, there it is.
Haylie Ecker (first violin, from Perth, Australia), Eos Chater (second violin, from Cardiff, Wales), Tania Davis (viola, from Sydney) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello, from Hull, England).
:) love them. they are hot, beautiful and talented!
Desde luego la fusion de la musica clasica con este ritmo tan moderno lo hace gustoso para todas las edades!! son muy buenas espero poder verlas en directo alguna vez.
hahaha am i the only one who has noticed that they are not really playing? xD

Can anyone pin point the classical tune in this piece?
I am trying to guess it without any luck.
Could it be Bach or Mozart?
Or is it by some not as well known Italian composer?
