Nice car. Some people say that it's slow and ugly but they couldn't be more wrong. It's a perfect car for young people. I'm gonna buy one soon, it's gonna be my second car. I hate my current car (Renault) so much that I would like to drop it from a cliff and then set it on fire.

I also owned a BMW e36 316i(M43tu,1.9Liter) compact, leather,klima, Nov'99

The e46,is much better, it is faster, and the engeneering of the e36 was already 20 years old, the reer wheel suspension about 30 years.

The e46 has 50/50 balance

Have you ever had any problems with the car?

I want to be honest - i unfortunately really had some problems. The following things (only know the german vocabulary) had to be repaired till i sold it with 70.000km: (luftmengenmesser, zündspule, 1 sicherung, software)

but don´t worry about it - mine was built 11/2001 which means, that it was the first production year. I am sure, that yours won´t have these problems. besides that, most of these things happend quite soon. the last year before i sold it, was fine :-)

sag mal wie ist es eigentlcih den 316ti, mit solchen breiten Felgen zu fahren, der kommt doch kaum vom Fleck?

nein, ist natürlich nicht katastrophal schlecht, aber von einem deutschen qualitätsprodukt hätte ich mir doch ein paar macken weniger gewünscht. zuvor fuhr ich einen leon, der hatte nichts. ich hab den wagen 1 jährig gekauft. verkauft hab ich ihn, um mehr geld für die neue wohnung zu haben und fuhr danach das auto meiner damaligen freundin.

natürlich haben die breiten reifen etwas dynamik geraubt - war aber erträglich (tacho vid auch mit 245ern)

hab ihn aber schon geliebt :)

mit dem e36 hatte ich so viele Probleme, unglaublich,kein lust alles aufzuzählen.

Aber der e46, war auch ein rießen desaster für bmw wie die Mercedes Baureihe w203, sehr anfällig. BMW bis2002 nicht empfehlenswert, wie Mercedes vor Mopf,

e90 und w204 sehr gute Autos wieder.

Denn e46 habe ich noch nicht lange, mal sehen.Ich werde ich wahrscheinlich noch während des ganzen Studiums fahren...

yeah i got one of these, in black. i loved it to death until the head gasket went and on board computer. also think its too slow, shouldve bought a 325 compact for a couple of grand more

It is really a great car. I have it in the same color.

Auch wenn ich im Allgemeinen silberne Autos der schwarzen Lakierung vorziehe - dieser BMW gefällt mir einfach in Silber am besten. Außerdem sieht man da nicht jeden Kratzer.
