I can't see why they cancelled dallas. It was a good show. still is. Minus the fact ray, sueEllen, Jenna, pam and donna left and miss ellie did not appear this season, this show was good. I can see dallas having a season 14 and 15.

I used to love the show, but after they broke up Bobby and Pam and Ray and Donna, that totally ruined it for me. Far too many new characters that I didn't care for, so I stopped watching after the 7th season or so. Don't get me going as to why, otherwise you'll never shut me up. Just suffice it to say that they ruined a perfectly good show by breaking up the best two couples!!

@pettyofficer30 well i'm from the UK....it was a very popular show over here back in 1980's -90's and was on the BBC1 (main state channel) - but how they will continue it - is beyond me - most of the actors they will be calling their agents from the graveside - some of the actors will be drawing their pension let alone their actors equity card!! And if they will be introducing younger airbrushed models - it will almost certainly destroy the reputation it had - so no idea how it will work?

If Larry had never turned to alcohol (1983 and beyond...) - he'd still be dominating this show. When he was a 'cad' and irritated the livin' hell out of you....the show was so far above anything broadcasted, it was almost worthy of Oscars. He improvised and knew when to smile as the camera panned-off...but when you're trashed day-in and day-out...unfortunately, you lose your grip.

Yes, that may be true; however, after Jim Davis passed away and Larry's contract got renewed - he started slammin' champagne like it was 7-Up. I worked in post-production graphics at Lorimar during those years and heard about it first hand. He's the greatest villian in TV history, but his "spoiled-sense of entilement" disappeared after 1983, and eventually his tyrancy just wasn't enough for the viewers.

Just asking…from 1978 to 1991, this show ran. The opening montage never changed a whole lot. It has always, though, shown the late Texas Stadium(Dallas Cowboys). Did the Ewings or anyone else for that matter ever go to a football game there?

TNT is bringing back Dallas. Larry Hagman, and Patrick Duffy will be in it again too. I lived there for 3 years. It's a beautiful city. But I hate the Cowboys lol. I'm from Houston originally so it's natural for me to not like the cowboys. :)

My only gripe about the final season was why did they leave Sheree J. Wilson on the intro after her character April Ewing was killed off. Her kidnapping and eventual death had to be one of the worst storylines written in the final season.

I love how in the 90s they had to add lots of explosions, helicopters, offshore oil rigs, and tons of new faces to the intro... as if to show that Ewing Oil was keeping up with the times. Hate the flashes of the characters at the beginning though. Still, the best theme song ever!
