@GearRocks No, he was in the military, and they train that reaction into them in a way I think isn't exactly healthy and doesn't work in civilian life.

I know b/c my brother's in the military and a war veteran, and he wanted to confront 2 drunk people who were arguing below my window.

I asked if he was crazy, what if they have guns, and HE said a good soldier isn't suppose to care about that, they're suppose to act to protect the citizens.

I had to call police to stop him from going down there.

@xfire336 That's how old the ones who robbed my bank were. The one who shot me was 18 and his goons were 17.

They went to Juvenile Detention, and the 18-yr.-old was tried as an adult.

He got 20 years in San Quentin and was put on parole 5 years early.

He killed people and got paroled. That's TFU

I have a friend who works for Sedona Fire Dept., but IDK where that is in relation to anywhere else.

I only know it's nowhere near Phoenix, b/c I have several friends from the Phoenix area.

I was born in Tucson. In 1991, I moved to a city that most people in Arizona don't care to mention: Yuma. Most Arizona residents think of Yuma as a place to stop for gas on the way to San Diego. I thought that at first, but I really got to know the history of Yuma and what a great city it is. Now, I don't want to live anywhere else. I was born in Tucson too. I moved to Fountain Hills which is a suburb in Phoenix near Scottsdale. When I was only 10 in May of 1993, I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. After all these years, Arizona still feels like home to me.

When I was visiting Mesa, it got up to 110 degrees. I don't see how the officers can be comfortable in such a dark color when it's that hot out.

From Officer Greg L.-The shooter is just bad to the bone. He didn't have to start firing at the people in the back of the store when they were clearly unarmed.

I've worked in law enforcement for a while, and I've observed that some people are totally incorrigible. Now, most people don't want to believe that, but it's true. Work street patrol for a while. I guarantee you'll notice it.

Nothing satisfies me more than helping to put people like the shooter behind bars.

My brother visited me on New Year's Eve, and he was actually going to confront 2 drunk people who were having an altercation in the parking lot.

I said, "Are you crazy?! What if they have guns? You're unarmed."

`"A good soldier isn't supposed to care about that," he said. We're supposed to confront people head on."

If I hadn't called the police to handle it, my brother would have gone down there.

these guys had a great choice of a vehicle, a toyota 4runner, thats really bad, because a first generation 4runner is an exelent off road vehicle, which means the suspects can escape through terrain that the police can't drive through, and the the 4x4 vehicles that cops use are usaualy large suv's, or pickups, thouse vehicles are prone to rollovers, and the suspects will do anything to get the cops off there backs

Mesa's so close to Phoenix I thought it was part of that city and not its own municipality.

When I was in Phoenix, my map indicated that Mesa was one of the nine major suburbs around the Greater Phoenix area.

I don't know if it's true, but the map indicated it.

Besides, all the radio DJs were saying the Gin Blossoms were going to play in their hometown of Phoenix, even though that band is from Tempe. That's another major suburb in the Greater Phoenix area.

I was born in phoenix and lived here my entire life, mesa, tempe, scottsdale, glendale ect are cities in their own right technically but commonly the entire area is just called phoenix or the valley. Lol really most people think of AZ as just having three cities, phoenix, flagstaff and tuscon.

Have you heard of Bentley Little? He grew up in Tuscon but has lived in Phoenix too.

He's my favorite horror writer. He writes a lot of books that have an Arizona setting.

If you own a store that sells guns wouldn't it make sense for the owner or employees to carry guns also?

I guess it is just up to the individual owner to determine whether he should carry a weapon or if he determines that there are enough safe guards (no ammo on store floor, guns locked in cases, controlled access from the street etc...) than he may see no reason to need a personal gun...
