LA Palma, yes. I think the previous comment meant that the city of La Palma. However, usually when that happens, the high school in the city acts as "de facto" host. And there have been many host bands that went ahead and competed, anyway, as John North used to do for the defunct Lester Oaks Band Review in Riverside. (They would march a small group from the band as the "host band," then have the rest of the band compete. Pretty sneaky!)
