Very awesome, I thought I had done everything in Final Fantasy 7 but I never even thought of doing something like this. It must have taken you a while to learn how to utilize the items like that.
@cavanua This is done by having Cloud kill all but one enemy in a battle, then kill off Cloud and have someone else take the EXP. A long and tedious process, but it works.

Hey Chaos after 2000 years, impressive/inspiring vid. Crazy to see what others have done with a game I thought I 'mastered'.
My question was about how you got Omnislash while being level 8. Others are pointing out that you can kill Cloud after having him kill most enemies, but not XPing after a battle, but since I wasn't aware of it and you never explicitly confirmed it:
Can you learn new limit skills after a battle even when dead?

man i beat this game when i was 11 with my 12 year old cousin lol i remember how frantic we were cuz we were not expecting sephiroth to have multiple forms and to be THAT difficult i mean we were like we're lvl 80 we're sure we could do it ........... FAIL !!!! XD we tried so many times in the end we improv'd, lvl'd up and luckily managed to beat him lol we didn't have any ultimate weapon nor ominislash or super summons XD lol after we beat him my cuz bought the manuel XD
this battle always disappointed me. throughout the whole game, everyone whines about how ungodly powerful Sephiroth is and he's a complete joke no matter what you do to fight him.
How do you keep Cloud at level 8 that long? You have to use him for a lot of boss battles at the beginning of the game, which will bring him to level ten before you even leave midgar.

The game came out in 1997, I played it then, and played it again a couple years back. Beat Emerald and Ruby weapon and put it away.
Props for calling Red XIII Nanaki instead - it never made sense to me why he didn't just say at some point "sup homes; my name's NANAKI, not Red XIII". Like he still didn't trust them at the end of the game. ^^

@prime618 You level up limit breaks by killing a certain number of enemies. Go into a battle against multiple enemies and have Cloud kill all but one of them, then kill him off and have the other character(s) win the battle. That way Cloud gains kills but doesn't receive EXP, so if you keep repeating that he will eventually kill enough enemies to learn his level 3 limit. Once you've then gone through a simliar method to learn the rest of his limit breaks you can then give him omnislash.
Ok, it's official. You've proven Safer Sephiroth is easier than Final Kefka...
I mean, a low level (i.e. level 6 to 8,etc,) character could NOT solo Kefka without quick and life 3...ever. You can do 3 or 4 perfect LLG characters in natural magic only and beat Kefka, but THIS?!?!

@TheMonkeyfartsfriend aeris is how the japanese pronounce it, in romaji it would be aerisu, but "su" to them is just pronounced "s". Aeris is the direct translation of sounds from japanese to english, but it was meant to be aerith.
i remember using a gameshark on ff7, cloud had this hp too, only he was level 99, technically, he has really good stats except HP, i wasn/t aware that his stats changed depending on your level, if nanaki and vincent are level 99 surely he should be too, im a bit suspicious of this tbh since you didn't show your inventory first, im thinking you may have gamesharked like me

also im no scientist, but why do you use 8 inch cannon when your physical attack does more damage? And whats with the hyper/tranquilisers? AND why did'nt super nova work??? I'm sure there are good reasons for all these things, I'm just hoping some kind person will explain :)
@james10492 He uses 8 Inch Cannon because when Sephiroth is flying up high normal attack won't hit and the 8 inch cannon is the best physical damage item. Hypers cause Fury and Cure sadness. Tranquilisers cause sadness but cure Fury.
Fury improves how quickly the limit bar fills while lowering accuracy.
Sadness improves defense but causes the limit bar to fill slower.
Cloud successfully beat Sephiroth. Unfortunatey, he wee'd his pants in the process from having to go so long without a toilet break after consuming all those stat boosting drinks.
FF7 was such a brilliant game, my favourite ever. Although it sucks about the naming failures, Aeris was meant to be Aerith (as they pointed out later), and Safer Sephiroth was meant to be Seraph Sephiroth.
I had to use KotR my first time I fought him, because on a previous attempt, he SMASHed me. So I got KotR, did NOT use it on jenova, then kicked bizzaro with one, and safer with one, 5 Bahamuts, and an Omnislash.
Hmm...I suppose it's very possible to get through the entire game leveling only to LV. 7, due to the initial fight, but you would have to run from battles that only Cloud was in, and fight with no more than two party members for the boss battles, as Cloud would be KOed. Very impressive dedication if you did so.
@gamemasterb4u it's not possible for cloud to be lvl 7 at this point, he starts off from level 6 and levels up to lvl 7 after the first fight, he takes half xp from the heli gunner fight, full xp from the rufus fight and also half xp from dyne fight, and that's enough to level him to 8
@00D00 that is true, however, if a party member is dead BUT he doesn't attend the battle, like dyne and heli gunner, then he will gain half of the xp even if he is dead

its impossible to get omnislash at level 7 because every second limit break in a set (for example braver and cross slash) require you to kill 80 monsters to get the next one
Wow, same party as me....exept 4 the whole lvl 8 cloud. Right down to naming Red XIII Nanaki...If you made him like a mage and Vincent like a summoner I'll be a little freaked out.
garland, if you used kotr on last jenova, safer seph would have got another 80k hp so 369,900 instead of 289.900 but nevertherless another nice vid to your great collection thanks.
Sephiroth has a very strict attack pattern, with a few alternatives in each 'slot' depending on conditions. Go look up TFergusson's Enemy Mechanics Guide on GameFAQs.
more importantly Deen is Safers most feared attack in a LL game if you don't know what you're doing. It attack every party member for a couple thousand, so in a LLNM challenge it is feared because you are pretty much stuck with HP in the hundreds. Luckily it can be avoided with Slow.
shadowflare is his most powerful it can deal damage to over 7000 hp if u didnt use the barriers. super nova despite the disappointing 15/16 reduce to hp it can cause numerous status effects like toad and the most annoying confusion but not a big deal if u have a ribbon.
@GarlandTheGreat Well, I was playing FF7-2 for the RPG Maker 2003. That happened to me, where an attack Jen did to me made Cloud (whom I named Balto) go down to, i think 21. The other 2 characters were dead already, and the only reason an attack that never kills you is dangerous is that, what if you have no potions, or the emeny hits you one more time, then it's game over.
@OdinIsOnOurSide I know they can't kill you but leave you with 1 HP is pretty dangerous. Lets say you have no health potions at all your pretty much screwed in the next round with his next attack.

@OdinIsOnOurSide Yeah I know but I never had that problem when I beat FF7 always have potions, plus with someone to heal, and remedy's especially when he uses that one to turn you into a frog. Need bunch of remedies when Sephiroth does that shit lol.
That wouldn't actually be that difficult. The lower your level, the easier it is to defeat the enemies, and your equipment has a negligible effect on your characters damage output. It is oddly similar to a No Materia FF7 run in some ways.
But no junctioning means no items, no magic, no anything except physical attacks and limit breaks. Would make it a lot harder than just a lowl evel run. (also, sorry if this is posted twice, it might appear later, but the reply i posted on my PSP doesn't seem to have worked properly)
Only stuff like Cross slash, but to go from Level 1 to 2 etc., you need to kill enemies. After cloud kills 80 (iirc) he goes to level 2 limits.
So, there has to be enemies that dont give XP in order for this to happen. Although it really doesn't matter, since he could have killed Safer with just Braver :P
Cloud needs to kill 320 enemies in order to learn Meteorain. That's done by killing all but one enemy in a battle, then kill off Cloud and finish the battle with someone else, while Cloud doesn't receive EXP. Obviously, this is a long and tedious process.
The second limit break on a level is learned by using the first one a certain amount of times, so use the limit break, kill Cloud and finish the battle.
You need to see the EXP screen, so it doesn't work on the battle arena.

@ joeyoh9292:a low level game is beating the game at the lowest level possible. it requires killing off characters and strategically distributing experience to each player to get the lowest possible result. this can be done in most games, but it's very popular in final fantasy VII
NSGNSNCNINTQ is for final fantasy X and it means you can't use the sphere grid, can't use summons, no customization, you can't use items, and you can't have 3 or 4 people at 9999
That's days of work and we only see the 30 minutes of it. You got my respect points!

@gamemasterb4u it's not possible for cloud to be lvl 7 at this point, he starts off from level 6 and levels up to lvl 7 after the first fight, he takes half xp from the heli gunner fight, full xp from the rufus fight and also half xp from dyne fight, and that's enough to level him to 8

its impossible to get omnislash at level 7 because every second limit break in a set (for example braver and cross slash) require you to kill 80 monsters to get the next one

You're right, it's impossible to get Omnislash at level 7, but not for the reasons you mentioned.
As for how to get it on level 8, I've explained it in a previous comment.

Sephiroth has a very strict attack pattern, with a few alternatives in each 'slot' depending on conditions. Go look up TFergusson's Enemy Mechanics Guide on GameFAQs.

more importantly Deen is Safers most feared attack in a LL game if you don't know what you're doing. It attack every party member for a couple thousand, so in a LLNM challenge it is feared because you are pretty much stuck with HP in the hundreds. Luckily it can be avoided with Slow.

shadowflare is his most powerful it can deal damage to over 7000 hp if u didnt use the barriers. super nova despite the disappointing 15/16 reduce to hp it can cause numerous status effects like toad and the most annoying confusion but not a big deal if u have a ribbon.

@GarlandTheGreat Well, I was playing FF7-2 for the RPG Maker 2003. That happened to me, where an attack Jen did to me made Cloud (whom I named Balto) go down to, i think 21. The other 2 characters were dead already, and the only reason an attack that never kills you is dangerous is that, what if you have no potions, or the emeny hits you one more time, then it's game over.

That wouldn't actually be that difficult. The lower your level, the easier it is to defeat the enemies, and your equipment has a negligible effect on your characters damage output. It is oddly similar to a No Materia FF7 run in some ways.

Limits are learned by how many times the previous ones are used, I believe. It has nothing to do with level.

Only stuff like Cross slash, but to go from Level 1 to 2 etc., you need to kill enemies. After cloud kills 80 (iirc) he goes to level 2 limits.
So, there has to be enemies that dont give XP in order for this to happen. Although it really doesn't matter, since he could have killed Safer with just Braver :P

Cloud needs to kill 320 enemies in order to learn Meteorain. That's done by killing all but one enemy in a battle, then kill off Cloud and finish the battle with someone else, while Cloud doesn't receive EXP. Obviously, this is a long and tedious process.
The second limit break on a level is learned by using the first one a certain amount of times, so use the limit break, kill Cloud and finish the battle.
You need to see the EXP screen, so it doesn't work on the battle arena.

@ joeyoh9292:a low level game is beating the game at the lowest level possible. it requires killing off characters and strategically distributing experience to each player to get the lowest possible result. this can be done in most games, but it's very popular in final fantasy VII
NSGNSNCNINTQ is for final fantasy X and it means you can't use the sphere grid, can't use summons, no customization, you can't use items, and you can't have 3 or 4 people at 9999

Sphere grid is the thing where you gain Sphere levels and then get more statuses, attacks etc.
Customization you get in Guadosalam, and it allows you to put skills to a weapon with items.
