These spiders are *extremely* aggressive and literally drip the venom from their fangs if they feel threatened. The "milker" is doing no more than wiping its' chin and maybe increasing its heart-rate a little bit. No worries, campers!

For your information, and also for all the other fools who want a reason to squeal "OMG, ABUSE, LEAVE TEH SCARY THING ALONE", It's being milked for its venom in order for the collected samples to be made into Antivenom, thereby protecting fools like you from dying as a result of a bite.

The Spider feels no pain, the procedure is fully supported by the the Australian Zoological Society, and the Spider is usually released afterwards.

The d*mn spider is not being tortured, it's being 'milked' to collect the venom..which is used to make anti-venin. They do the same thing to poisonous snakes, so that if you should get bitten, they use antivenin on you to save your life. Get over it.

Good Video but the title is wrong as there is no such thing as a poisonous spider, poison has to be absorbed into the body through the skin whilst venom is injected making spiders, scorpions and snakes venomous not poisonous.

Sure I would drink it... venom is protein... protein is not bad for the stomach.... given that I had no cuts in the mouth at the time.... sure!! but drinking venom is no magic trick. its just a simple fact that venom wont harm the digestive track, unless you have an ulcer or cuts in the mouth. so yeah Im confident enough to drink some venom.
