This was their last 'gig' alright. Brixton was 12.12.86 & a brilliant performance. unlike here! ironically San Remo was i think their biggest ever TV audience, as it went out live all over Europe not just Italy where it was filmed. more of a TV show than a gig, this. it and RTE's 'Megamix' were there only public appearences of '87.

Nah, these people of this Italian show are just ridiciously bad informed (the band can get erven play live, they're miming to the studio version), and I'm sure Marr and the others were able to laugh at all this. The Smiths were big in England, that wasn't the reason. 'Musical differences' were.
