  • hey ive been doing the ocm for a week now and it seem like i have breakouts really bad on my cheeks and chin areas now n I dont usually breakout on my chin, my mixture is castor oil 40% and EVOO 60%, please let me know any tips on what I should do differemtly. I wash my face with a face scrub for blemishes n breakouts, then I use my OCM rub n for a couple minutes, hot damp towel on face a couple times and I m finished, n thats it.

  • Hi It has been what seems like forever since I saw this video and implemented it as you described. I just did my first youtube video and mentioned @thesistahchick and how it worked for me. Thank you again. I continue to watch your channel, and spread the news!

  • @sincerelysonja Thanks so much for the mention!

  • @sincerelysonja I had a few cysts at first, but after watching videos online, I found that using a very, very warm, clean towel and steaming my face at least 5-6 times, rubbing my skin between steams to dislodge impurities ensured that all of my pores are clear. I may get a few blemishes at time of the month, but it's clear and healthy.

  • @mzriley10 Thats awesome! Thanks for the feedback!

  • Hi I am loving this video. Since going natural with my hair this year I also wanted to try natural skin care. I have been so disappointed because everything was making my face worse than using the chemicals. Coconut oil, olive oil, vegetable glycerin all of it created cystic acne, and worsened my extreme hyper-pigmentation. I love how you explain what each oil does, it has helped me to understand better how to create the right concoction. Lets be blog neighbors sinceresonja.blogspot.com

  • @sincerelysonja Thanks so much for watching, please let me know how it turns out!

  • Thanx for this vid!! So many people don't know about the ocm, but it really works! I am 40 yrs old and have dealt with mild to moderate acne and scarring forever. I started the ocm about 2 mths ago and my face has never been so clear, smooth, and healthy!!! I use a combo of castor oil, jojoba, and grapeseed oil. I also alternate with African black soap once a week or a bentonite clay mask once every other week. I tone with aloe Vera juice and follow up with cetaphil moisturizer and a couple o

  • @mzriley10 Thats awesome! Thanks for sharing your regimen and for watching!

  • i am a 54 year old white woman and I love this mixture and works great on my skin. I have rosacea. it works great and does not dry out my mature skin. I put argan oil in mine also.

  • @kokomo191 Thats awesome! Thanks so much for checking out my vid and for taking the time to leave a response :-)

  • Thanks for showing us your recipe! I used to use the OCM. I actually used almost the exact same oils that you do. It worked pretty well for my skin. I stopped doing it because it took so long to do. However, i plan to get back into the habit!

  • @CurlyCrazyfulLeah I have been really pleased with the results. Thanks for watching!

  • i love the ocm. my young daughter has pimples now so i'm teaching her to care for her face with ocm method. i see that this is becoming really popular and it makes my face feel so clean. i heard that one is supposed to follow up with a toner (i used apple cider vinegar) which was horrible for me, and a moisturizer and i use raw cocoa butter and it works great for me

  • @coldestwoman Awesome for your daughter! I do follow with an ACV blend of my own creation and Mango butter as a moisturizer. Thanks for watching!

  • Yes, I would like to see how you apply this to your face. My face is oily all over. No matter what I use it is back oily in less than ten minutes! Thank you! If this helps, will definitely try it!

  • @MissaRosa from what i have read, the more oil that you strip from the skin, the more oil the skin produces, I believe that this may be why this method works. I apply by pouring a little into my hands and massage my face with it, then i use a hot towel to remove. i will make a video soon hopefully. Stay Tuned!

  • Sorry, I posted on the wrong video. Thanks, I am patiently awaiting the confirmation as we speak!

  • I used this method on your advice and have been getting compliments on my skin ever since =)

  • @monicajoi Thats very cool! Glad to know that its working for you! (your skin is already gorgeous tho!) Thanks for watching!

  • Great video. A word to the wise though when mixing your oils you want to roll the bottle/container instead of flipping or shaking it. By doing so can cause free radicals to be relaeased in the oils that leads to them becoming rancid.

  • @DecadentButters Awesome! Thank you for that advice! I love you & YOUTUBE for the knowledge that I have received here. No more flipping! You ROCK! Thanks again and for taking the time to comment... Peace :-)

  • I have 2 daughters one 16yrs old with permed hair and one 3yrs old w/ naturally hair! I have vowed to never chemically straighten my youngests hair because I have seen a dramatic difference in the growth of my older daughters hair. Hair that was once down her back is now shoulder legnth and I attribute that to it being permed and not properly cared for. I am just started to look for natural products for both girls and would love some advice on where to start.

  • I love this method, I have been using it since October!! My skin loves it!

  • @keasley100 Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!

  • *EMERGENCY*The problem I am having is I am getting lots of breakage around the edges of my childs hair and it is driving me crazy. I just recently moved into a house that has extremely hard water and I think this maybe causing the problem. Do you have any advise on what I can do? I went and bought a water filtration system for the shower just so I can was her hair, stopped using rubber band, and went out and bought a gang load of natural products to wash and condition her hair with.

  • I think i will go over to your blogspot and read the blog. Thanks

  • @jackiecan04 Thanks for checkin it out!

  • Sistah Chick, you took me back with your reference to the childhood dosing of castor oil. In our case, if we could get the stuff down, we had the privilege of chasing it with a sip of Coca-Cola. I shuddered back then at the thought of castor oil, but I love using it in my conditioner concoction.

  • @ElleJoie lol yes the old folk knew what they were doing! Because i never remember being sick! I'll stick to using it for skin & hair tho! lol Thanks for watching!

  • Never heard it. Will have to try it out. Thank you for posting :o)

  • @kandipearl You're welcome! Thanks for checking out my vid!

  • i was just reading about this on twitter lol

  • I use a similar OCM as well. I have combination skin (oily in the T-Zone) so my concoction includes Hazelnut, but excludes the Castor. I've been using MopTopMaven's ACV mix as a toner/freshener. Its been 3 months w/ no breakouts and super clear skin!! Im going to check out your blog...feel free to check out my skin regimen too at natrulymynd.blogspot.com. Great vid!

  • Grat video and very helpful!

    Thank you sis 4 sharing.
