Given the advancing age of the original members of this incredible band, I for one say; Stop the arguements and let these new people develop their talents! Yes, I love Jon, but I believe that if We give these new folks some breathing room, YES will continue to surprise us again. Remember, Give them all a chance!! These young people deserve it!

I saw Yes last live last night and I dont know why everyone is complaining about David. His voice is almost identicle to Jon's. Also I hate to say it but Yes needs to get younger if it is going to survive. They replaced Jon Anderson very well and Oliver is great. harder to replace will be Steve Howe but it needs to happen if yes is going to survive.
@ahigherstate People are complaining because getting a sound-alike instead of waiting for someone you have worked with for 40 years to get better (it only took a couple years, after all) is a DICK move. I understand why they did it, and I don't "hate" them for it. It was just a douche move-and it was strictly for the money. If it was for creative reasons they would have got in new members with a fresh sound, not people replicating the style of departed members exactly.
@DarkeningSkies1 yes don't exist, yes is jon anderson. drama is not a yes album because jon wasn't on it. Only jon is yes, jon anderson has written all of the music of yes, after all he is yes. yes should have stopped touring for a year, it doesn't matter if they have no income, only jon is yes. jon is the best jon anderson jon anderson jon andrson. I follow anderson like a sheep and I am proud of that.yes. all of jon's solo albums are better cos all of jon's spirit is in them. only jon is yes
@mikapromotesobesity Wow, that's clever. Actually, I think "Drama" was one of the better albums they recorded, so that rules me out on the Jon/Sheep thing, but well done "critique" of my opinion... unless of course you are being serious, which is just sad.
DOUBT JON WILL COME BACK. THEY REALLY CHRIS AND STEVE REALLY HAVE SCREWED THEMSELVES NOW!!
JON AND RICK WILL HAVE AN ALBUM OUT AT THE END OF THE YEAR, AND ARE TOURING THE UK OCT. AND NOV. THEY HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR 40 YEARS AND CHRIS AND JON ALMOST HATE EACH OTHER, BUT ONLY ALAN CALLED JON WHILE HE WAS SICK...SOME OTHERS TOO...TREVOR AND RICK.
THATS WHY THE 3 OF THEM ARE WORKING ON SOME STUFF...
Thank God for Benoit David and Oliver Wakeman. New blood is good. They are talking about making a new studio album after the tour. Fashion statements like punk (pins in face, ripped clothing), new wave (weird hair, stripped clothing) and grunge (pissed off, flannel clothing) were all interesting and produced some good music, but that's over. Benoit and Oliver are trying to save music and should be applauded for their efforts. The new Yes album could be the best thing for this world! Have faith.
I've watched a lot of videos from this tour and I can say I'm actually much more impressed with Benoit then Oliver Wakeman. Of coarse, it's imposible to sing/play with the same conviction as the musicians that wrote the songs...but not a bad job from Benoit. Oliver seems less confident with the material. I love that Howe never seems to lose his spark...he is always engaging to watch and hear. Good to see Yes marching on through good times and bad.
Congratulations, Chris Squire and Steve Howe: You've succeeded in transforming your once great band into an utterly hideous parody of itself, and in the process, thoroughly trashing its legacy!
Now, thanks to your efforts, whenever I think of the two of you, an old adage comes to mind: There's no fool like a pair of OLD FOOLS!.
I think he is doing an amazing job considering how hard the vocals are and he sounds almost just like him and has a great stage presence can't wait to see them!!
I saw them in Atlanta and Hollywood, FL on this tour. I thought they all did a great job. If you're impressed with a youtube video then you'll enjoy the concert.
Truth...the magic of Jon's voice is the spirit that runs through ....which opens the angelic voice...in a way that anyone else singing it...is more like someone just hitting the notes.
The get down at the early end...made the earlier parts not so good.
Benoit - nice job - I love your tone... but don't yell the high B - just let it rise out of you.
Oliver - good lord, that was a mess; Second chord in the pipe organ solo was wrong (both times), and the Mini Moog solo was a train wreck - c'mon... just ask your dad how it's supposed to be done.
Saw them last night in Ohio. I agree with forte88 statement. The magic was just not there. The Steve Howe solo was the only moment I truly enjoyed. Still think they ran alot of tape..
At 3:13 Oliver Wakeman just kills it for me. Losing the sustain on the base note, using two hands to play what his dad did with one, and the synth patch was not very good. At that point it started sounding like a lame cover band. Benoit sounds a bit like Jon I guess. I do detect some control issues however, and I'm just not feeling that magic I get with Jon. I love YES. I've seen them every tour since my first show back in 1977(even the Drama tour), but I'm afraid this one I'm going to pass.
i think it may have been a technical problem that caused the note to drop, cause it sustained for a little after he let it go. maybe he hit a button on his synth by accident or something.
Yeah it was fine until 3:13, it sounded like it fell apart after that. I wont be seeing them this tour, and it doesn't look liked I will ever get to see them with Mr. Anderson :(
Anderson's getting better all the time. And isn't it quite common for even experienced bands to make some mistakes this early in the tour? I think it's great that they are back in at least some form.
I don't think Rick is sick though. He had some scheduling issues that prevented him from going on tour. He is also a TV personality back in UK. Now Jon on the other hand isn't a happy camper due to what we're watching now!

@dbltrplx Not true. I'd rather hear Howe, Squire and White anyday over those cover band musicians.

Like he had stepped back for a three pointer
and heaved it at the rim.
No...I won't be going to this tour.
But...I wish them luck in any event.
