@420Guitar420 there is none. some may can play the guitar but cant play as badass as this and as far as the vocals, dude i don't know anyone who could sing like this when they were 16. Travis doesn't have the same voice as he did here, because of past meth use but he can still sing very good. And he can play a guitar that could make the devil rise from his hell, or make and angel cry from the pure beauty of his playing.

absolutely an amazing muscian i saw him do a solo a few months back it blew my freakin mind. His guitar skills are un matched. He's got a way better voice than kurt kobain hes and 10 times more talented than any 1 who has touched an acoustic guitar . But he get no respect. AND HES BEEN CLEAN ALMOST 3 years.

it's generally because musicians are very emotional people...that's why they're musicians. they are creative, and that creativity comes from deep down. so their talent is their soul. bearing one's soul is very scary, hence a lot of medication to overcome that. sadly.

He played a show in Hartford, CT on sunday. Heavier? No, he was skinny. Really skinny, to the point where I am scared for him. No disrespect meant, he is one of my favorite musicians EVER, but he really looked like walking death. Stumbling a little, didnt open his eyes in the opening song, looked like he was gonna fall over. Didnt say a single word to the crowd, showed up 2hrs late for the show. It's really sad, all that talent being thrown away.
I'm sure it was him I was standing 4 feet away from him. He did sing, and funny you bring that up. Travis is in many ways like Jimi Hendrix. The music is such a huge part of him that he plays and sings flawlessly no matter how strung out, drunk, high, dope sick, or whatever else. What an amazing musician. He could barely stand straight, but still had the energy to sound great. I really hope he straightens out and gets healthy.
Maybe it's just me, but why does just about every band play their studio songs at almost twice the tempo when playing live? I understand the energy from the crowd and the adrenaline that comes with that, but cmon, this song was written for a tempo of around 80, and here they are playing it around 120bpm....
He was only about 16 when he wrote this. DOTN opened for Metallica their 1st tour, then Travis got strung out on meth and fired his band. The timing is fairly quick for this song anyway, sounds like he's done an eight before going on stage. He was on Intervention and I think has finally kicked and is trying to stay clean. He's been trying to record new stuff but hasn't put a band together yet. Good luck to ya, Travis, helluva talent!
I think Travis has finally overcome his addiction. I mean I understand why he became addicted, all the stress of being in a band and at the age of 17. Although not the best way to deal with stress.
it might have been partially from the stress, but i think he lived by this rule: "sex, drugs & rockn' roll" he got addicted like most rock musicians because thats the rockstar lifestyle not because of stress. its almost a rule that rockers must party.

That was about 3 years ago, I understand he's been hospitalized twice for heart problems from meth. I think he's completed another treatment program, just hope it works this time. Such talent, man, don't let it go up in smoke, or your nose, or in your arm...

I love this band. Their first album was so refreshing because it didn't sound like anyone at all. Very original. Travis is very gifted so it was really sad that he blew ALL of his money... mostly on heroin and other drugs. I hope he's all cleaned up and making a comeback.

Yeah, he was tweaking when this was done and subsequently fire the band. They went on to form Tantric. Travis has heart problems and had a heart attack as a result of his meth addiction. He was featured in the A&E show Intervention and didn't (but eventually did) go to and complete treatment for addiction. I've read that his voice is all but gone as a result of smoking and abuse. He also hasn't written anything in a few years. I personally liked their 2 singles this and Touch, Peel and Stand.
Theres at least 20 people in this band...cuz every Album travis played with new pepole...the last group he played with joined Tantric...The original line up is up for a new album! Called like Tree Colors!

He was only about 16 when he wrote this. DOTN opened for Metallica their 1st tour, then Travis got strung out on meth and fired his band. The timing is fairly quick for this song anyway, sounds like he's done an eight before going on stage. He was on Intervention and I think has finally kicked and is trying to stay clean. He's been trying to record new stuff but hasn't put a band together yet. Good luck to ya, Travis, helluva talent!

I think Travis has finally overcome his addiction. I mean I understand why he became addicted, all the stress of being in a band and at the age of 17. Although not the best way to deal with stress.

it might have been partially from the stress, but i think he lived by this rule: "sex, drugs & rockn' roll" he got addicted like most rock musicians because thats the rockstar lifestyle not because of stress. its almost a rule that rockers must party.

That was about 3 years ago, I understand he's been hospitalized twice for heart problems from meth. I think he's completed another treatment program, just hope it works this time. Such talent, man, don't let it go up in smoke, or your nose, or in your arm...

I love this band. Their first album was so refreshing because it didn't sound like anyone at all. Very original. Travis is very gifted so it was really sad that he blew ALL of his money... mostly on heroin and other drugs. I hope he's all cleaned up and making a comeback.

Yeah, he was tweaking when this was done and subsequently fire the band. They went on to form Tantric. Travis has heart problems and had a heart attack as a result of his meth addiction. He was featured in the A&E show Intervention and didn't (but eventually did) go to and complete treatment for addiction. I've read that his voice is all but gone as a result of smoking and abuse. He also hasn't written anything in a few years. I personally liked their 2 singles this and Touch, Peel and Stand.

Theres at least 20 people in this band...cuz every Album travis played with new pepole...the last group he played with joined Tantric...The original line up is up for a new album! Called like Tree Colors!
