sorry I have one question ..how can I move my joomla site from subdomene I created watching this tutorial to a main domain? because i whant the site on main domain now:) hopu you understand the question..thanks
Check to see if your host has Fantastico. If they do, you can install Joomla this way. Else, you may have to do it manually.
There are many hosts out there that are great. I do not want to recommend any specific ones, but you can search for them and get a few good options in a few minutes. :)
Does this need to install a MySql database if not are you sure it works as well as the other methods. Also how do I get to fantastico is it only offered by some web hosting services? And do I need to host the website before I can do this?
I am not sure what extension you are talking about.
You don't need an extension to upload and install Joomla on your website.
Just follow the instructions in the video and you will be fine.
If your web host's Control Panel seems very different from what you see here and you can't locate the programs that I mention here, ask your host's Tech Support reps. They should be able to let you know if they support this or not.
Hey, after i installed it. When I clicked on the link to direct me to the Joomla admin log in page of my Subdomain, it would never load up the page. Why is that?
It is a system for easily installing different software platforms like blogs, classifieds and CMS systems like Joomla and Drupal on your website.
It is actually meant to remove the need to manually install any of these programs as these programs (like the Joomla and the Wordpress softwares) are already uploaded on your hosting account by your hosting company.
So, all you have to do is just fill in a simple form to have it installed and ready to use.
What I really meant was to please do a tutorial on how to the download newest updates after you already have Joomla! 1.5 The security improvements and such.

Hi :)
I had to take eight minutes to discuss and illustrate how to do Install Joomla step by step.
But once you learn how to do it, it can take you two minutes or less to do so. :)
I have done it within two minutes, so I can attest to it. :)

I can't hear what you say on the second sentence right after you say"I'm going to show you how to install Joomla" What do you say after that?
Garo48 3 years ago
The full sentence is:
"I am going to show you how to install Joomla on your website, from your hosting account's Control Panel"
Please, do let me know if you need any more help.
Thanks. :)

I don't understand - is Fantastico a kind FTP program? Do you start the video with sending the files by Fatastica as a ftp program?
Garo48 3 years ago
