  • hehe, sdudla in the middle can move innit?

  • Was this done for somebody's wedding? It looks so. Please if you can, update the description. It seems important to me that it is clear this was done at a moment where emotion was shown to a group of others. The efforts of the performers seem so obvious. I would like to know if I'm right. This routine is very long and not that simple as I can tell. I enjoyed viewing it. Thank you for sharing!

  • one of those moments when folk make the universe proud

the void loves smooth smooth daddies

  • its been a while since I looked at these comments ,isn't it great that a dance can lead to a substantive debate on culture and the origins of music ......all comments are much appreciated and to the few that think we suck ,its okay we dont do this to impress or get validation from anyone we do it coz we love and live it .

  • @AguvGeneral I have a curious question. qhats the name of ur song?

  • @AguvGeneral I think this is totally awesome. I like to see different flavors of dance. The stuff I see in america that is mainstream is good and sometimes innovative but what you guys are doing seems fun and makes me want to get back to dancing.

  • U guys are not based in the UK are you? If u are I have a wedding I would like to have u dance at.....

  • @zzalas No sorry zzalas were in the T.dot (toronto ) and we just do this because its a passion ,no weddings or events ,what you see in the video was for a friend ...thanks for considering us thou its an honour .

  • COOOOL!!!

  • anyone know the name of this song?

  • is like house dance

  • Everybody should dance like this on my wedding! No other dancing allowed! <3

  • maningazi ukujaiva yekani

  • great dancers....so light on their feet!

  • guys are older but still go their moves... dats great. they move like 14yr olds..

  • I discovered Kwaito when I stayed in South Africa for 2 months about 10 yrs ago...Love this music! There is no American equivalent.

  • Its called Bass music, these people got the idea from America.

Like Techno and House America innovated the music, but the general public never paid much attention unlike people overseas, which liked what was happening on the underground.

  • yeah, it resembles the house music and "footwork" of Chicago. But with a LOT more flavor.

  • no it originated in africa. its mainly a variation and electronic version of traditional music

  • Yes, it is electronic versions of traditional music, but were are they getting the ideas of what to do with electronic music from? You can clearly hear the influence of House, Hip-hop and Dancehall in the music.

The idea is that in the global landscape in the digital age common influences are being found. The same process is happening to traditional dance music all over the world, from Bhangra to Cumbia, western dance music is reshaping how people hear their own music.

  • You are going to have to be more specific then that.

  • It could very well be '77, afro-pop; particularly in South Africa has had a long history.

However, we are talking about Kwaito, which is most definitely a combination of traditional music with Hip-hop, House and Dancehall. You most wouldn't have heard probably the most famous Kwaito song internationally DJ Mujava's "Township Funk" or anything like it in '77.
