  • Some one asked about who is singing already, but I think the answer was erased. In any case, it sounds like Michelle Simonal, but I can't find this version with guitar only on iTunes. Can anyone confirm who this is and suggest where to find this single?

  • Jo coby and Rachel christopher

  • What an ugly song

  • If you still wish to see someone as talented as Tim go to Santa Barbara and watch David Saffold. He is a living legend and the first person I ever saw flying a glider in the early 1970"s, a week later I ordered my Wills standard. It has been 20 + years when I left the sport but I am coming back very soon to fly again. Life is short and passions must be fulfilled...

  • I was lucky enough to know Timmy back in those days, I'll never forget him.

  • beautiful pilot. 79 was the year i fell in love with hangliding i was 14. i flew from 82,-87. but never achieved this guys skill level. this be the best vintage footage i have come across. nice! thanx....oh and dude had a smokin gal. lol.

  • I also started with a condor, then kestrel at that time..... those were the days.

Now the pencil pushers are controlling everything.

  • What a legend..........i heard he soared the harbour bridge too :) Beautifull inspiring footage thanks for posting

  • Looks like Tim had a 6th sense related to hang gliding. And no fear. Sorry to hear he passed away.

  • That is a wonderful video. I still fly the same blue with rainbow Moyes at our local beach site on occasion.

Tim was obviously a very talented pilot, and its very sad to hear that he has passed away.

  • An amazing pilot..inspirational,...he really lived for flying... Thanks for posting this film dude.

  • Высший пилотаж и отличный клип!!!5+++++

  • Tim travers was my uncle! He was extremely inspiring, and I plan to follow in his footsteps one day. If only if to touch the sky as he had once or twice.

    Gorgeous tribute thankyou

  • I heard he died of cancer.

  • outstanding! thanks for sharing!!

  • One of my instructors gave me a lift back to town after a day on the sand hills at Kurnell. He showed me this film, I've not seen it since. That was well over 20 years ago and I can still remember that afternoon like it was yesterday. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Jason HGFA 15178

  • Yes that is Beautiful. That's what flying is all about!!!

  • Beautiful skills!

  • Simplestente Fantástico!!!!!

  • this film always makes me cry. most beautifull thing on the intardnet.

  • Really beautifull!

    god bless all!

  • Just to complete that cast I'm pretty sure the girl seen passing something to Peter Brown is Greer from Tennessee. I could be wrong.

  • It was the beautiful Wendy, Timmy's girlfriend.

  • Einfach Geiiiiiiiiiilllll !!!

  • How delightful!

    Thank you!

  • best video on youtube. most beautifull singers and possibly the most natural and talented hang gliding ever achieved by our lousey, love-less, wasted spieces.

    salute timmy

  • Thanks for posting!

  • thanks dude ! ;-)

  • Hey guys, who knows the name of the singer/group that sings this song of U2 ??? Thanks!

  • So Natural - Thanks for the footage

  • great clips, brings back fond memories for me, i flew for 20 years, starting with a condor, then a ranger, quickly upgraded to a skydart, ended up with a bandit which is still in my garage (full of redback spiders i suppose), i think tim is flying the skydart and bandit, i have boxes full of super 8 movies, including some of tim, but i dont know how to get them onto youtube

  • dickieperia, just run the super8 on the wall and

re-capture it with a digital camera. The quality may not be the best, but at least you will have something on digital media.

  • No comment!!!:)))Es megis kell mert gyonyoru!!!

A repulest mindig is igy kepzeltem el sarkannyal

A Sarkany valojaban EZ!!!!Itt meg van a repules ize!:)))

    Thenks!!!for the Video!!!!

  • For anyone who has ever dreamed of flying, this video captures how beautifully natural, playful and fun it can be.

I flew for 10 years over ten years ago, and in a few seconds this video began to resurrect the joy of flying until my eyes were wet with tears.

Tim exhibits more then skill, he exhibits a passion for discovering what he can do with the freedom of flight.

    I wish I could have known him...and in a way I do.

  • Amen brother...pass the tissue

  • yeh man this is radical stuff, the beginning of anything is radical to tell you the truth, masters create a nice cushy road for the rest.

  • Bellezza pura ... intramontabile e senza tempo... Pure, everlasting and timeless beauty

  • If you control your emotions you can do almost anything, this guy is one of the best pilots you'll ever see. If I could learn to fly half as good I would be very proud. John Nuchols USHPA #84732

  • show!!!nem sabia que era possivel fazer tanta coisa com uma asa delta.....

  • Muuuuito Show!!!

  • that was cool

  • Man Can Fly

  • Incrivel!!!

  • He definitely was able to fly better than I can walk.

  • Fantastic flying, fantastic fun! A superb epitaph..

  • Some extraordinary footage. As I fly today, with my helmet, gloves, parachute, instruments, and radio communication, I see Tim Flying and and know that he was in a realm I will never experience. One part of me saying, hey man!!!! where is your helmet and shoes, and what the hell you doing flying without a harness, and another part marveling a the beautiful picture he was painting.

  • As a fellow pilot of a later era then Tim's, I watched his flying with a nostalgic envy of a time when pioneers of the sport daringly and playfully discovered what could be done with the unregulated freedom of flight.

  • This superb flying by Tim Travis was filmed by another great pilot, Peter Brown. I think Bob Barnes had a bit to do with the film as well. I went to Australia in 1979, just when they were filming Tims flying. I lived with Peter at his place in Pacific Palms and met his friend Tim a couple of times. I feel privileged to have know Bob, Tim and Peter. Unfortunately, they all passed away. Life is full of surprises, sad ones as well. JanMorten, Norway

  • so proud!

  • Could not keep the smile off my face :)))

Infinite thumbs up to you for putting this amazing video together. Loved It.

  • cool stunts.

I wonder if anyone has film of Gerry Breen flying. I have vivid memories of him doing 360's on top Of Meryther - on Hiyway S.scorpion - 360's with wingtip touching snow coverd ground and chute container scraping snow... ah memories!

  • thx for this great clip

  • WOW..........

  • I wonder what happened to Timmy?

  • Tim got brain tumor and passed away, ufortunatley.

  • aw that sucks. well at least he got to experience something that not a whole lot a people get to. =)

  • very nice video and guy with superior flight skills.

  • When men were men.
