as the snow melts it turns to water. water+calcium carbide=acetylene gas. its pretty spiffy if i do say so myself! XP you can do a cooler version with ice cubes in a tray with a little melted water on the bottom, throw the rocks under the ice and light it...the flames dancing on the ice cubes reflections is pretty. =P
