Okay, I have a ASUS G50VT-X5. I extracted the driver into the controller folder and the script into the script folder. But when i start LCDHype, it freezes at the flash screen on loading LCD drivers. I installed the .6 version of LCDHype, not the update. I also tried updating LCDHype to the latest version, but that didn't work either. What did I do wrong?

Well, there should be no problems, as the driver is reported very successful. You may try deleting the whole LCDHype folder and install 0.6 then 0.6.0.5 update over, then put the G1/G50 driver, when you start LCDHype, select the driver, then select the G50/G70 mode of the driver. I just found out that Windows Vista has the 32-bit (x86), and the 64-bit Program Files folders. When I reinstalled it to the normal 64-bit folder, it worked fine. Thanks!

hey, i just got an asus g50vt-x6 with lights "flashier" than those of a dancefloor. Can your program give me control of the touchpad light and the two flashing lights on the cover as well as the asus logo light? If so, can you at least provide the appropriate link?

does this work for the asus g50vt? i mean, i tried to run lcdhype and it ran fine, but nothing showed up on the led display, and i downloaded all plugins and stuff that u mentioned at the tutorial, and nothing happens at the led. Can some one please help me out, because im having some prblems with this.

Yes it woks with G50VT and G70, go to notebookreview forum and search for a thread "G50V - Anyone find a use for the OLED display?", on page 7 is the driver, and following that is everything you need, also check out my signature there, you'll find the scripts and files you need plus tons of explanations

Great! it worked, but now the data that appears at the OLED screen is incorrect, except for the time and date, i think it has something to do with the megascrip, is there a megascript 2.0 for thr g50 versions? if there is something similar could you give me the link for it?

Both Megascript versions are made for G1/G2 series where the screen is 128x32, your OLED is 256x32, so you need to correct every script inside, which is not that big deal even if you work with LCDHype for the first time, it would take you a day. There are couple of ports for G50 already and couple of cool scripts which you can add to the megascript. Read the whole thread in the NBR forum you'll find the scripts and screens ...and play with the megascript, there are alot of comments on my code :)

I still can't manage to see this on my OLED. I see LCD HYPE on the screen (means driver work, right ? ). I have the preview of the script in the small software windows ( means script is good) but I dont know why, menus do not initialize on the OLED

You have the preview of the script working, or you have only a static screen there ? Don't forget to press "GO" button on the bottom-left to run the script...and the Megascript has to always start from script 0 (System.Main) so it can initialize

I do have 'LCD HYPE' on the OLED. and when I run LCD Hype 0.6 software I can see each screen on this little green window. But still, when I press 'Go' it doesn't initialize on the OLED

In Configuration -> LCD Configuration -> select the G-Series OLED driver as output, by default LCDHype drives only the preview window. Before asking other questions, please check out the link in the video description. Everything you need is described there :)

Theres a glitch in the driver, everything is set up correctly, and i have the same issues.

LCDHype logo is displaying correctly but the text mode isn't working at all. So all scripts i tested did nothing :S

Where do you get these scripts? I mean can I borrow yours. I have a G50VT-X5 and downgraded to XP. I have the drivers and it shows up with Predator_MF on the LCD now but everything else is beyond me.

This is pretty sick. Could you get it to work with, for example, G15 plugins so that it'd be compatible with games like WoW and CS?

Yes, you just have to select different LCD output from LCDHype - it has G15 support. And yes - you can get realtime server info from CS server (also Quake3, COD2/4, etc) and show it on the screen. I had a special script before that showed the first 4 persons in a match by frags and blinked when someone frags :)

No iTunes support, iTunes is bad, installs 300MB of sh*t to your windows, installs QuickTime codecs and all of those to just listen an MP3....

Yes, you can visualize COD/CS/whatever, there's a plugin for that in the LCDHype forum (GameServerQuery plugin)

Thanks so much I'm managing to get things working one at a time LOL. Ok so for the GLED and touchpad, I managed to copy the script thing and now the problem is that the GLED is constantly on and doesn't flash, when I load the sample script that comes with the plugin it actually works properly with the exception of no winamp status. And I am yet to get the touchpad blinkin :( Thanks for ur help so far!!!

There's a plugin you must install to get the GLED working. It's in LCDHype forum / download / plugins section, there are instructions how to do that posted there too.

I strongly encourage you to read the whole thread in NBR forum, it would take you a cup of coffee and 1 hour from your morning, but you'll find anyhing you need to customize your Asus appearance, GLED and OLED

The winamp plugin - you need to copy the dll from the Program Files\LCDHype\stuff\Winamp directory to your Winamp\plugins directory, restart Winamp, then start the plugin (open winamp preferences with Ctrl+P, go to Plugins -> Visualization, select it and press start). EVERYTHING I just said you can find in the link that I've written in the videodescription, plus in the LCDHype scripts download section

One thing I forgot to mention is that I have a G2SV and I cant seem to get the LCDHype working, It keeps poping these errors that say No Skins Found or Cannot Find Message_Error. If anyone knows any help help would be appreciated.

Solution to this problem can be found in the link from the video description. However, since you've already asked - your problem is you have downloaded only an update of LCDHype (for example 0.6.0.5 is only an update). First you have to get 0.6 version (which is self-installing), install it, then put the files from the 0.6.0.5 archive (or whatever later version) over it and you'll get it working :)

You've got it wrong. Asus DirectConsole is the program that drives the OLED. The OLED is the display above the keyboard. Read the details in the video description to learn more information how to customize your OLED display.

Браво! Четях темата за това дисплейче на какво е способно. Всичко върви страхотно. Много як срийнсейвър от КilledKenny. Мислих, че е напълно безмислено след като не ползвам Outlook и msn. И после чета location Bulgaria :D. Стана късно(докато изчета всичките постове :) ) и утре ще вида как да си настроя показателя за вентилатора и т.н.

P.S. Как мислиш да си охлаждаш g1s-a - иде лятото :) . Защо си зарязал вистата - има ли hotkeys подръжка на kubuntu7.0 за g1s?

С охлаждането проблем не очаквам да има, при максимално натоварване на CPU и GPU температурите са 80°/96° от завода, вчера си смених термопастата с Arctic Cooler MX-2 и температурите паднаха с 5-6° надолу. Това са мобилни версии на процесорите, направени са за такъв температурен напън...

Не знаех за тази паста Arctic Cooling MX-2. Знаех основно за Artcic Silver 5(ползвал съм), но тази(MX-2) е по-"безопасна". Под охлаждане трябваше да се доуточня. За външно имах в предвид. Нещо от сорта на ZM-NC1000 Black. Мисля да си взема едно такова. Хвалят го по принцип тези които са на g1s. Но добре че не съм го направил, иначе нямаше да разбера, че има по-добра термопаста от AS5.

Лесно ли стигна до процесора:). Не мислих върху това да му сменям пастата заради гаранцията.

Виста зарязах щото само яде ресурси, усеща се най-вече при игра - 3dmark06 на Vista - 3952, същото при XP - 5200 (Crysis върви почти 2 пъти по бързо на XP). Освен това се занимавам и доста с програмиране и хардуер и Vista е меко казано пречка за работа.

Знам за Глизтата каква е пречка за програмирането, ама има винаги оправия, не е чак толкова проблем. Яде ресурси. Ще яде по-малко ако и поорежеш екстричните и сървизчетата. Аз бях така: 2000-2 години, XP - 1 година[ненавиждам XP], и от миналия Февруари си качих Vista (на Desktop) и бях много много по доволен от XP(колкото и да учудва ми беше по стабилна Vistata от XP).

Crysis не ми хареса :). Падам си по по-конзолни игри от сорта на MGS сериите, Hitman. За шутър предпочитам CallofDuty4 или ТF2.

Абе и аз си падам по COD4, ела да видиш как върви под XP...вервай ми, G1S + XP = POWER! Не е моя реплика, но лично се убедих в това.

Знам за Zalman cooler-ите, ще видим лятото как ще се държи без него, не вярвам да има проблем, а и не вярвай на всичко дето четеш по форумите, 80 градуса са съвсем нормални за тая машина.
