It takes alot of dedication and hard work to be a scratch golfer, Im always out playing somewhere. I usaully shoot between 74-79 when im playing descent. im very consistent. So if you are a scratch golfer keep it up and if your not your a failed abortion
i believe short game is more important than your longer shots but you have to be able to hit the ball a pretty decent distance to be scratch and i dont know if that is far enough

I do the same amount probs 2-3 handi im 13 going into varsity golf the only difference between a scratch golfer and a kid who has a great swing great short game and a great coach is simply the experience that come with playing golf 15+ years well thats my opinion. but im not saying thats true for everyone prodigys certainly can do that my friend parker hes 12 shoots under even par every round +2 is bad for him and he plays scratch

@bmsadamse1 Ummm ever heard tour pros talk about how they golfed when they were younger? Most of them were well into the 60's by 12 years old. Dustin Johnson shot a 64 and broke a course record when he was 14. Only thing was that he took a gimme putt so it didn't count. Next day came back out and shot 62 on the same course. So it's definitely possible lol.
doesent matter how long you've been golfing or how much you golf, 'ive been golfing for three years and im freshman and i play for varsity. i shoot 38 on a par 36 consistently. ive knocked off 14 strokes from my score just this year and i could knock off at least 2 strokes next year.

first advice, your grip is super closed at address. might wanna change that so it is a flat left wrist. think of making your address position your impact position. also, you head dips during your swing. the way to cure that is to have someone hold your head by your hair and make you swing. its a good drill that will make you learn fast. and by the looks of it you got plenty hair to lose. just make sure when doing that drill, to have the person let go of your hair directly after impact.

first advice, your grip is super closed at address. might wanna change that so it is a flat left wrist. think of making your address position your impact position. also, you head dips during your swing. the way to cure that is to have someone hold your head by your hair and make you swing. its a good drill that will make you learn fast. and by the looks of it you got plenty hair to lose. just make sure when doing that drill, to have the person let go of your hair directly after impact.
