  • Tommy Lee Jones is one of the worst Oscar wins in Academy history. He was annoying and unbearable in The Fugitive.

  • Would have been better is you could have added subtitles to the video stating actor & movie. As it is now, you have to make the choice of watching the video or reading the list provided.

  • Ed Wood was great as Lugosi. It was a shame Samuel L. Jackson couldn't win in another year though. I thought those two actors was the greatest competition (1994) 2 brilliant movies. I also thought Jake Gyllenhall (Brokeback mountain) deserved to win in 06, he was excellent.

  • Looking at the still from "Stagecoach" and Thomas Mitchell is nowhere to be seen!

  • Wow! Wonderful...thank you for putting in all the work on these pictures and the list of winners in the description - now I'm on my way to see your Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Picture and any others you have posted.

  • Pity, that you cannot follow the year, the name, the film, or the role. Only the major aim could not be reached: to show and identify all the past winners.

  • one word.... AIDS

  • Tom Berenger should definitely have won for Platoon. Likewise Ralph Fiennes should have won for Schindler's List.

Both those guys made you want to get up and run out of your seat whenever they were on the screen.

  • @StarshipMaxima or if not Berenger then at least Willem Dafoe

I also think Gary Sinise should have won for Forrest Gump

  • @StarshipMaxima Yeah they’re performances was each chilling.

  • Singer is Chris Rea doing "Road To Hell"

    Available on "The River"

  • who sings this song n its title

  • That is not Thomas Mitchell. All of those people in that scene from Stagecoach, and none of them is the Oscar winner!

  • Susan Hayward should have won for "I'll Cry Tomorrow," not Anna Magnani's "Rose Tattoo." Liz Taylor winning for "Butterfield 8" was a disgrace. Shirley MacLaine should have won in "Some Came Running." Shelley Winters should have been in the supporting category for "A Place in the Sun" and not up for best actress there. Judy Garland in "A Star is Born" was phenomenal. Winner Grace Kelly for "The Country Girl" was good, but not in the same league as Judy who sang and acted her heart out.

  • Robert Stack should have won the 1956 best supporting actor Oscar for "Written on the Wind." How Anthony Quinn won was beyond me. Leave it to the academy, they fouled up the following year when they gave the award to Red Buttons in "Sayonara." Any of the other nominees were far better. Alan Alda, a nominee in that category for "The Aviator," should have won in the 2000 year of his nomination. While Harold Russell was wonderful in "Best Years of Our Lives," Dana Andrews should have won for it.

  • Thank you for making that point...most thought this man was Italian! I suppose because those were the parts he played.

  • Does anyone have actual video of Don Ameche winning the Oscar and his acceptance speech etc????

  • My top ten picks for the best supporting actors are: Javier Bardem ("No Country for Old Men"); Morgan Freeman ("Street Smart"); Gene Hackman ("Bonnie and Clyde"); Walter Huston ("The Treasure of Sierra Madre"); Samuel L. Jackson ("Pulp Fiction"); Jude Law ("The Talented Mr. Ripley"): Jack Nicholson ("Easy Rider"); George Sanders ("All About Eve"); George C. Scott ("Dr. Strangelove"); and Gig Young ("They Shoot Horses, Don't They?").

  • Michael Caine , Best Supporting Actor Ever

  • Martin Landau was very good in Ed Wood

  • @TMTGeneralDeath His performance was the greatest out of all the best supporting actor winners.

  • the image you input for anthony quinn's second oscar was from his film "zorba the greek" not from "lust for life" and for walter brennan's first oscar was from old river not from come and get it

  • You pick the BEST music

  • gaaaaaad I hate your music choises!!

  • heath ....all i gotta say

  • Heath Ledger is next!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are you so sure about that?

He's up against some tough competition.

  • There is tough competition. I think Heath is deserving, though. All the others nominated are, too. I think it will be Heath in the end, though.

  • Well if heath doesn't who will???

  • Robert Downy jr., and Dev Patel are his main competition.

  • I think that Heath has it pretty locked up.

  • You have no idea what you're talking about, mate

  • anybody know the name of the song....

  • jamie foxx has never won best supporting actor.

i REALLY hope heath gets it this year!

  • Josh Brolin is my choice for Best Supporting Actor.

And hopefully, they don't be stupid and give it to the late Heath Ledger.

  • fuck this alcoholic women beating asshole brolin. He is a dumb the only thing he deserves is a kickass.

  • Um, fucker, we are talking about his acting, not his real life.

  • Yeah I know more about acting than you

ever did. Heath Ledger was just a better actor

than Brolin and only heath deserves this award

    and nobody else

  • I have a film degree...got one of those...haha think not.

And you're only siding with Heath because he's DEAD

    Grow the fuck up.

  • I don´t give a fuck what you have.

I´am not siding him because he´s dead

I only admire him for his great job

    he did incredible acting

  • Yeah, coping Jack Nicholson, not to mention Cesar Romero. Yeah, incredible.

  • Nicholson´s Joker was very different

    You can´t compare them

    Ledger didn´t copy anyone

He and Nolan had their own way of this.

I see one more that you have no idea about actig. If you have no arguments pls Keep quiet!

  • I refuse to talk about good acting and Oscar, with a mornoic, dumbass Dark Knight Fan.

    K? Thanx.

  • fucked up

    fucking face

    you little bitch

  • Wow, now I respect you so much more!

Maybe you can go dig up Heath and give him his crappy awards.

  • Man5i = Pathetic

I wonder how someone who uploads Max Paine clips and favs clips from Steven Seagal movies knows who deserves an Oscar or not, I bet you haven't even watched "Milk" or any other film with potential supporting actor candidates, idiot.

  • Hey asshole

I know Max Payne wasn´t that great

bu its sure not the worst movie of the year

and steven seagal? Fuck him! I hate him even more but the scene was funny so shut the fuck up!

  • Yeah, your terrible grammar and spelling sure helps your case./sarcasm

  • Honey, I'm latin and english is not my birth language so... no excuse, go finish school, maybe then you'll learn how to spell.

  • WOW, Amazing!

It's still kind of redundant when you can't even spell, and certainly can not compose any sort of argument without throwing an obscenity, you unoriginal little twerp. Get over yourself, no one gives a shit about your lazy existence or your poultry skills.

Language has nothing to do with movies.

  • So I´am a dumb because I want Heath Ledger to get an oscar?

  • I agree, that Man5i needs to go get ass fucked because they don't know shit about Oscars.

  • Is the only thing you and dean know how to do is berate people for their choices in film and awards predicting?

I thought Milk was amazing and deserves whatever awards come its way (esp for Penn), but to say Brolin is more deserving than Ledger is completely farfetched. Ledger deserves it, not because of his unfortunate death, but because he disappeared so deeply into the Joker - like Daniel Day-Lewis and Marion Cotillard last year - that the actor was never present; only the character.

  • Of course, given all the grindhouse films you have uploaded on your page, that would explain quite a bit about your taste in "film."

  • The poster messed up. Thomas Mitchell won in "Stagecoach" in 1939, yet in the photo he does not appear. Who does appear is the banker, with the bag containing the funds he absconded with. Mitchell played the alcoholic doctor.

  • Fred Astaire should have won for "The Towering Inferno".

  • Quit preaching your Fred Astaire shit, okay, my god, what is he yo daddy?

  • Fred Astaire should have won for "The Towering Inferno". You have no heart...

  • I DO HAVE A HEART.

    HE WAS SHIT.

  • i see a mistake on this video. neither alan bates or anthony quinn won an oscar for zorba.

  • Whoops, sorry, I forgot he won twice...my bad...

  • Hey man, Peter Ustinov won for Topkapi, not Spartacus...

  • I take it you could get a pic of Walter Brennan from COME AND GET IT. Why did you not do one for Supporting Actress...director would be interesting too...

  • I'm going to, eventually. It's finding time.

  • Do you think that Fred Astaire should have won for The Towering Inferno? Because I think he was robbed big time!

  • HE WAS DESERVING.

    GET OVER IT.

  • Sean Connery in the Untouchables WOOT!

  • You're videos are wonderful. Thanks for posting. I love the music you choose as well.

  • Do you think that Fred Astaire should have won for The Towering Inferno? Because I think he was robbed big time!

  • Christopher Walken Is The Best Forever # 1 !!!

  • Do you think that Fred Astaire should have won for The Towering Inferno? Because I think he was robbed big time!

  • My favourite winner is minute 5:02.

    Hackman´s the fuck master!!!

  • Best Winners: *Red Buttons *Chris Cooper *Karl Malden *Joel Grey *Christopher Walken *Alan Arkin *John Gielgud Worst Winners: *Javier Bardem (lame) *Michael Caine (1999) *Robin Williams (not his best.) *Martin Landau (Overrated.) *Tommy Lee Jones (are you serious?) *Cuba Gooding Jr. (Show me the roles you ain't getting anymore!)
  • I agree, but Martin Landau is one of the best, if not the.

  • Just about all of your choices for best winners are God awful, why dont you watch a decent movie ya putz.

  • Well that's your own opinion, and are not god awful. If they were, than those actor's wouldn't have won, would they? Think before you criticize someone, you douche.

  • Its not my opinion its a fact. FACT FACT FACT FACT FACT FACT you just wouldnt know a brilliant movie if it hit you in the face much like id like to about now ya fuckin septuagenarian ass rammer. Chris Cooper, is that a fuckin joke, hes mediocre and should be an ensemble actor at best, hes just lukewarm. YOU FUCKIN SUCK, CUNT

  • Chris Cooper deserved his Oscar 100%

  • NOPE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Much like jamie foxx deserved an award, Chris Cooper is one of the most vanilla actors out there

  • Chris Cooper is probably the best winner in the category.

Jamie Foxx is probably the worst winner in the category.

  • Typical. I know you wish that you were black, but hating other white people just won't get you there, okay?

  • I couldnt agree more, who the fuck like chris cooper furthermore what is there to like?

  • heath ledger, our next best supporting actor, YEAH!!

  • nope.

  • asshole, who's better than you goddamn pseudo-aficionado who knows absoltuely shit about movies

  • West Side Story HELL YEAH!!!

  • I agree, Javier Bardem didn't show anything new. All movie, he doesn't say anything but if he does, he says some stupid, senseless things. Tom Wilkinson was robbed, look at his role, it's outstanding, touching, dramatic performance. I think, Tom Wilkinson is one of the most underrated actors. He was robbed twice, both In The Bedroom and Michael Clayton. I think one of two movies should have won either There Will Be Blood or Michael Cayton instead of No Country for Old Men.

  • 5.42 : so beautiful B.d.T !

  • Tremendous compilation! Thank you!!

  • THE DEER HUNTER HELL YEAH

  • I swear I'm not lying, but Dean Jagger is related to me. He was my mom's uncle. I totally swear! My grandpa could write a whole book on him because he was really close to my grandpa. He died way before I was born.

  • I would have loved to hear his views on one of his last films "Game of Death" back in 1978

  • What ia the name of the song used for this video and who is it by? Anyone?...

  • I do wish people would check the description. It's "The Road To Hell" by Chris Rea.

  • i don't think it was such an amazing movie as it is made out to be. but javier's performance was amazing.

  • An informative video, thanks--didn't realize that Melvyn Douglas won more than once. Always thought he was a fine actor, even in his earliest roles. Peter Ustinov, too, though every winner in this list is well deserved. Best Supporting Actor seems to be a category where good choices are generally made.

  • I commend you for rocking Chris Rea :P

  • Why did Joel Grey win for Cabaret? He beat out Al Pacino, James Caan, and Robert Duvall who were all nominated for the Godfather.

  • It was said at the time that they might have cancelled each other out

  • Well that just sucks! Al Pacino should have won something acting award for his role as Michael Corleone. Instead, he wins for Scent of a Woman.

Things that make you go "urrgh"!

  • NOBODY could EVER play the hot head badass Mobster better than Joe Pesci, so dont ever say he didnt perform good

  • My top 5

    1/robert de niro:the godfather p.2

    2/joe pesci:goodfellas

    3/gene hackman:unforgiven

    4/christopher walken:the deer hunter

    5/denzel washington:glory

  • I would definitely add at the very least Javier Bardem, Robert De Niro and Haing Ngor to your list, if not a lot more. Most of the performances on the list were great, I think you're just being too elitist.

  • Timothy Hutton in Ordinary People. His performance was brilliant. Does anyone have a clip of him winning the oscar?

  • Finally somebody else who loves his performance!

  • Hell yeah! Back in January. When I saw Ordinary People for the first time I thought Timothy gave one of the best performances I have ever seen from a male actor. He just breaks your heart in it. Brilliant performance and a great actor. One of my top favorite actors.

  • Javier Bardem's performance in No Country For Old Men was incredible.

  • Yes, I agree. That year he was the best.

  • I disagree. I really couldn't see what was so great about it.

  • mmm well try takin a deeper look :)

  • I have, and it wasn't worthy watsoever. I think Tom Wilkonson should have won. No Country for Old Men, was the stupidest movie i have ever seen.

  • NOPE

  • you didn't like joe pesci's performance???

  • Denzel Washington deserved the academy award! He was amazing in Glory!

  • I completley agree, but there are more than three preformances that were deserving. Like, Timothy Hutton in Ordinary People, Christopher Walken in The Deer Hunter, George Sanders in All about Eve, Karl Malden in Streetcar. But there were MANY undeserving ones. Like, Michael Caine in The Cider House Rules, Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive, Cuba Gooding Jr. in Jerry Maguire, George Clooney in Syriana, Ed Begley in Swwet Bird of Youth.

  • agree with everyone u said.
