Most dealerships will sell them for that cheap with high miles,but private sellers usually give a good deal. Overall Z is a overall better car. Its like comparing a Bugatti veyron to a lambo. Lets say this boost a geo metro fully tuned,built motor,tune. Can smoke both cars now thats money well spent.

@cabronisimo actually, you'd be surprised at how little more horses are needed to make a slow car fast. If it's light (the Tc weighing about 2905lbs. empty) then not much is needed.

The quality of the entire kit matters as well. Not too mention the tC has a GT30R which maxes out at 500HP. Also not too mention, you save more than 10G by purchasing the tC which you can spend on supporting mods. The potential of a car is in the owner. Stop being haters.
I had a scion TC that i bought in 2006, used with 5400 miles, for 13500. It got in a wreck in 2008 and I got 16,000 from the insurance company because of the low mileage. I bought a used 2003 350z with 38000 miles for 14,800. The Z is definitely the better car, and mine is the shittest version since its the intro year. so yeah you can get both cars for about the same price and it would cost exactly the same to do work to them. in this vid the tc obv spent more money.
doesn't matter you have better handling, better sound, rear drive, better gear box, etc etc in the 350 or 370....straight line performance doesn't tell you much...is like a porsche gt3rs put it against a new mustang shelby cobra in straight line and the cobra probably will win.but on the real world with bends, corners, mountain roads...the porsche gt3rs is king and will win....I am a purists so I like N/A nice sounding engines than turbos or Spchr...anyways nice tc it gets the job done...

@kurnin you do know that a STOCK 350z has almost 2x the power of a tc right? this guy most likely still has less power in the tc then the 350z. No mod list so that is just a guess.
@kurnin I think it is fair the 350z is at least 10 grand more than the Tc even with the turbo slapped on it, and that turbo probably gives it around 300 hp which is around the same the 350z has plus it’s a 6 cylinder vs. a 4 so the turbo makes it even in my opinion.

@smallblocksupercharg It is pretty apparent that you don't mod nor own a Scion. Most turbo kits offered for the tC will get you around 300hp with only 8psi.
@smallblocksupercharg They will do 300whp and then some on a stock motor. The motor will hold 350-400whp before you need to change the internals. All the turbo kits out are capable of making 300whp at just 8-10lbs of boost. Power to weight has nothing to do with whether or not a motor can reach a desired whp goal from a bolt on turbo kit. Power to weight comes into play in how fast the car is with that desired hp and the weight of the car. Nothing to do with achievable whp.

@smallblocksupercharg Just because You haven't seen one does not mean they don't exist or isn't true. You are chatting with a guy that has one. All the turbo kits come with fuel injectors, that's a normal thing that comes in the kits, unless you buy a tuner kit. And you don't have to change out the stock fuel pump to run 10psi. I have ran 12psi on the stock fuel pump. I was running 750cc injectors and stock pump on 12lbs of boost which is about 320-330whp.
@smallblocksupercharg I have videos on my Youtube page. Been boosted for over 3+yrs on this car, I am pretty well versed in what they can and can't handle. The stock motor is capable of handling 350-400whp before you need to build the block. Droppping pistons and rods in and you can easily run 400, 500, 600 on up without even sleeving the block. The highest HP and non-sleeved tC is Chris Rado's. His tCs are pushing 1200hp and 1100hp on non-sleeved blocks.
I wouldn't even bother trying to prove your point to these haters, it'll go from one ear and out the other, There's a vid on here with a turbo tc waxing a z06, so I don't think a Z would be a problem for a properly tuned TC.

@glerink This year 350z is rated at 287hp at the motor and puts down 230-240whp when strapped to a dyno. The tC with just a straight bolt on turbo setup and at just 8lbs of boost will be pushing anywhere from 270-300whp when strapped to a dyno (depending on the turbo being used). So, 350z = 3100+lbs @ 230-240whp vs a tC at 2900lbs @ 280-300whp....it's obvious the Z is going to get dusted. I should know, I owned a 350z and a turbo tC and I pitted them against each other with my tC just on 7lbs

the z is a track car, a tc isn't sorry... There's a good explanation of n/a vs turbo ona track (grip not drift). It shows how a n/a will keep up with and surpass a tubro on a twisted track, straight aways, a turbo will fly away from a n/a.

@Valdemar350z Neon SRT-4 = Fail, look at a video of one racing a typical low boost tC. tC wins and I think the tC looks way better. SRT-4 is just a garbage neon with manual rear windows and a turbo engine. Caliber SRT-4 is just as garbage but at least it looks a bit better than the neon in SRT-4 form, base Calibers look worse than the neon they replaced. I agree that the SS Cobalt turbo is wonderful, its the fastest stock fwd compact car available, slightly faster than even the Mazdaspeed 3.

@Valdemar350z drivers here are hit or miss but that is beside the point. Caliber SRT-4's run a 14.2 sec 1/4 mile, Cobalt SS Turbos run 13.8-14 flat depending on review you look at.
Also to each his own when it comes to looks, but I think far more would say a stock non SRT-4 Caliber does not look as good as a stock tC. Also a tC with a basic 8 PSI turbo and a decent tune will waste a stage 2 Caliber SRT-4 or Stage 2 Cobalt SS. Proof is all over youtube, dragtimes, etc.

you can compare a turbo to a n/a... its just not fair. Now watch a turbo Z vs. a turbo tC :) Its only fair if the tC gets a turbo then the Z should be turbo, but again you wont find THAT video, b/c the only way a tC can beat a Z is to be turbo charged, a TT would completely flat out embarrass a tC.

@kurnin I think it is fair the 350z is at least 10 grand more than the Tc even with the turbo slapped on it, and that turbo probably gives it around 300 hp which is around the same the 350z has plus it’s a 6 cylinder vs. a 4 so the turbo makes it even in my opinion.

@smallblocksupercharg They will do 300whp and then some on a stock motor. The motor will hold 350-400whp before you need to change the internals. All the turbo kits out are capable of making 300whp at just 8-10lbs of boost. Power to weight has nothing to do with whether or not a motor can reach a desired whp goal from a bolt on turbo kit. Power to weight comes into play in how fast the car is with that desired hp and the weight of the car. Nothing to do with achievable whp.

@smallblocksupercharg Just because You haven't seen one does not mean they don't exist or isn't true. You are chatting with a guy that has one. All the turbo kits come with fuel injectors, that's a normal thing that comes in the kits, unless you buy a tuner kit. And you don't have to change out the stock fuel pump to run 10psi. I have ran 12psi on the stock fuel pump. I was running 750cc injectors and stock pump on 12lbs of boost which is about 320-330whp.

@smallblocksupercharg I have videos on my Youtube page. Been boosted for over 3+yrs on this car, I am pretty well versed in what they can and can't handle. The stock motor is capable of handling 350-400whp before you need to build the block. Droppping pistons and rods in and you can easily run 400, 500, 600 on up without even sleeving the block. The highest HP and non-sleeved tC is Chris Rado's. His tCs are pushing 1200hp and 1100hp on non-sleeved blocks.

@glerink This year 350z is rated at 287hp at the motor and puts down 230-240whp when strapped to a dyno. The tC with just a straight bolt on turbo setup and at just 8lbs of boost will be pushing anywhere from 270-300whp when strapped to a dyno (depending on the turbo being used). So, 350z = 3100+lbs @ 230-240whp vs a tC at 2900lbs @ 280-300whp....it's obvious the Z is going to get dusted. I should know, I owned a 350z and a turbo tC and I pitted them against each other with my tC just on 7lbs

the z is a track car, a tc isn't sorry... There's a good explanation of n/a vs turbo ona track (grip not drift). It shows how a n/a will keep up with and surpass a tubro on a twisted track, straight aways, a turbo will fly away from a n/a.

@Valdemar350z Neon SRT-4 = Fail, look at a video of one racing a typical low boost tC. tC wins and I think the tC looks way better. SRT-4 is just a garbage neon with manual rear windows and a turbo engine. Caliber SRT-4 is just as garbage but at least it looks a bit better than the neon in SRT-4 form, base Calibers look worse than the neon they replaced. I agree that the SS Cobalt turbo is wonderful, its the fastest stock fwd compact car available, slightly faster than even the Mazdaspeed 3.

@Valdemar350z drivers here are hit or miss but that is beside the point. Caliber SRT-4's run a 14.2 sec 1/4 mile, Cobalt SS Turbos run 13.8-14 flat depending on review you look at.
Also to each his own when it comes to looks, but I think far more would say a stock non SRT-4 Caliber does not look as good as a stock tC. Also a tC with a basic 8 PSI turbo and a decent tune will waste a stage 2 Caliber SRT-4 or Stage 2 Cobalt SS. Proof is all over youtube, dragtimes, etc.

wrong 370 wouldn't do much of a difference. My buddy and I got beat by a turbo'ed tc on the highway. I was driving my 350z and he had a 370z. We both got wooped lol. He traded his 370 for a 2010 ss camaro, and said never again lol. Just to show you this little things can be quick.

If you go to Redline Time Attacks website and take a look at the driver standings for 2009, in the Street FWD East, I'm ranked #6 with my tC. And that wasn't even on boost, as I took the turbo off before the event and sold it for my new setup. At the end of the day....those results matter more to me than what some Soccer dad over the internet thinks of tC's. Or the false assumptions he makes up so that he can feel better about himself..

Last trip was to VA to oversee a penetration testing. Some hacker company was contracted to do a software hacking test on Windows computers running our software and our software alone. Under BBX Technologies with Buddy Ortale, our product was called Immune Engine. Under Black Lab Securities, Bob redesigned the code and developed a product called "Shadow". The investor then was Jeff Smith, he use to head up a department at IBM. After that departure, he further developed the code, and it is now called "IA". Bob Terry (my boss) owns the Patent rights to the software and has thus re-designed and recreated it into a different product each time. IA is what I run and integrate.
