I think Edward Norton is the best pick for Clay - good work there. But I don't get the two for Tom..Paul, though this was a made a few years ago, is now rather round and less "tiny", as Tom is described. The person I see as Tom is absolutely Jason Bateman. As for Alice, I can't think of one, but if I had to name one; Hailee Steinfeld. She was Mattie Ross in the new True Grit. Very talented young woman, and actually 14 years old, which is incredible.
@thereck456 Ryan Reynolds is a surprisingly good thought. RD Jr is a bit too big a pawn in Hollywood to be such an outright supporting role like Tom. Emma Stone would be interesting but she's getting a bit older as of late.
I agree with the casting of Clay. The casting of Alice, not so much. Alice is more of a straight laced girl thrown into a bad situation. Not a starlet. Then rest of the casting seems pretty logical. I totally put my vote in for Kathy Bates to play the creepy religious woman on the bridge XD hehe. And yes.. I totally agree with santachrist, David Arquette is movie poison, when will they just put him out of his misery.
no more eli roth( which is a shame... i thought he had a really good view about wich way to go with the film)!!! but stephen king just finised the screenplay!!!
cont...Giamatti as Tom is a good choice, but he doesnt scream "gay". I always see Tom as my friends friend that I only ever see at New Years..short, moustace, gay, sophisticated type. But hes no actor...youve gotta get rid of the Arquette obsession...maybe he'd fit as Dan. Ardai, I always saw as a kind of a Mark Twain sort..so whoever played him in that old ST TNG episode would do...JK Simmons?? gah!..McKellen would be OK. Why even bother casting Sharon?
@rageohol Agreed on all fronts. Except Tom I just saw as a tidy, well-kept man who happens to dress nice and have a cat... and be gay. :) I don't think he's written in a way that "screams gay", but one of those guys who's very orderly and precise. I think Giamatti is perfect. And I absolutlely love Sir Ian McKellen in everything, so of course I think he'd be the perfect Ardai! <3
James Denton, or some other cookie-cutter, not-too-terribly-talented-or-famous "hunk star" kinda fits the bill for me..Norton is too..i dunno...Clay in the book is so..well..he frankly doesnt stand out as a personality as Norton does. Hence one of them bland "faces" would suffice. As much as I loathe Sarah Polley, i saw her as Alice, (which is good cuz Id ge to see her face hit with a brick.)
Mia Wasikowska as alice I mean she's 21 but can easily pass for 15 thats the only person I pictured as Alice I mean Hello she was in Alice in wonderland For the Rageddy man Chiwetel Ejiofor
@crazyharrydirtylarry Too bad King only likes his little cameos and none of those bigger roles. :( But I do think it'd be hilarious and fully endorse the idea!
i'm gonna get bashed for this... I saw Alice as Dakota Fanning, actually. 15, innocent but gradually matures, i think it works. and Jordan is 12, so there would really be less of a gap between the two then. that's just my thought.

Ive just finished the book and its classic King ,I like your choices for people who play the parts apart from jordan that guy looks to young ,A little suggestion as i was reading the book my imagination of the raggedy man looked just like morgan freeman your thoughts ?
@forest187 hmmm....morgan freeman might be a little to old to represent the raggedy man, because to me, it sounded like he used to be a student. Although maybe not, because he is reffered to as the president of Harvard
Really sorry about that. When I made this video...I was like half-way the book LOLZ...didn't know the Harvard guy would play such an important part then...lolz
@NiveKen13 I like ur picks. To me Cell(my favorite S.King Novel)WOULD MAKE A BETTER miniseries like Stand or The Langoliers cause the movie has to be at least 4 hrs long,to be come even close to the novel.Anyways here are my picks Clay: Skeet Ulrich Tom: Clint Howard Alice:(and I take a chance here)Lindsay Lohan Jordan: Paul Loots this kid is amazing. Prof.Ardai: Garry Oldman(His 1 of my fav.actors) Sharon: Drea De Matteo Let me know What u think thanx
But I still think that Camilla Belle really fits the role...if you've watched When a Strange Calls, she really did a good job there...
and David Dorfman is quite grown now, that pic is like 5-3 years ago I think....
the role for Jordan would've fit Noah Gray-Cabey from Heroes, but when he returned to the show...his voice just sounded so different than before...he just grew up too fast, so its too late LOL
@DEMXY95 Jordan is 12 and Alice is 15. I agree though, the picks for Alice are too old and not "teen-ey" enough. I think Chloe Moretz could pull off being Alice (even though she's actually 13).

Well guys it turns out that Eli Roth will not be directing Cell anymore,
Why? 2 reasons.
1. Roth wanted to make Cell in his own way while the people writing wanted it to be faithful to the book.
2.Roth wants to write his own stories

CLAY: I will agree that Edward norton is the right choice.
ALICE: I pictured Amber Tamblyn but i guess Camilla Belle would be good.
TOM: David Arqutte should totally play Tom.
JORDON: David Dorfman's too old for the role Jordon is supposed to be 12 and David's like 16 now, I think Noah Gray Cabey should play Him
ARDAI: JK simmons should totally play him.
SHARON: Laurie Holdon from The Mist should play her.
