the songs mess with your head, you say? songs written from the point of view of: sociopaths, gravestones, heroine, rapists. Why on earth would that be!
I think I made an asinine comment a couple years ago about annoying hipster parents teaching their kids Pavement songs - well, I take it all back. Funny how I keep stumbling on these kids singing some of my favorite songs. Tell him to keep it up; I'm sure he's got this one down by now.
..i wish i had music like this when i was that age. or even music i would have at least liked. i didn't even listen to music until i was twelve. because i was exposed to crap.. but yeah cool kid. hes even got the hair
don´t you think it´s a little absurd to have a little kid sing _this_ song? I think the lyrics aren´t really appropriate for that age... I find it kinda strange...
seriously Pavement AND Okkervil River?! I am pretty damn impressed with the musical tastes of both the parents and children...i doff my cap to you good sir!
First off, there's nothing suicidal about this song at all, it's more about honesty in my opinion, sort of like a more personal "War Criminal Rises and Speaks."
The kid has tone, he's gonna get somewhere if you keep him up to date with the indie rock happenings, I have my niece and sister run the same drills.
PAVEMENT AND OKKERVIL RIVER, im impressed that kid's gonna be associated with music in his job no matter what. i hope you've also showed him fugazi or i guess youll hafta wait till later! ahah im impressed on how you raise your kids on music!
My parents never censored the music that I loved as a child. Thanks mom and dad.
And how cool is this: not raising your children to listen to music that is a generic facsimile of another generic facsimile? Props to you and your children for listening to real emotion and real music, for real.
p.s.-love the stereo video and, um, SLAY TRACKS FOREVER!
Ahaha this is so adorable and hilarious! I love how he never gives up on singing even though he doesn't know the words. someone should show Will Sheff this video....cutest little fan ever!
