Winters are not long and I can say this because I live where our summers are very short now. Then you can talk about real cold and wind in the winter.

I live in Michigan right next to Lake Michigan and you can take all the precautions necessary and it still will not make a difference when it gets really icy. I have (as most cars do) ABS and all wheel drive that helps me drive through the snow very easily but a couple of times a year there will be bad storms and a lot of black ice and then it doesnt matter what you do.. you will slide.

We're in Michigan. We got a petition going to recall Carl Levin and Debbie Stabnow. We looked it up, only need 25% of last years total votes for signatures required. Totals up to a about 250 signatures. If we can get that many, these people would be out. Trying to make Ron Paul's job a little easier getting the corrupt out. Hmmm, "reason" # two obviously takes place in Colorado since all the cars have Colorado license plates. "reason" #3 doesn't even take place in the U.S. as that car is not sold in the States, which then makes me believe that "reason" # 1 didn't take place in Traverse City either.

@Cambridge49506 Actually, all the plates except one are clearly Michigan plates. Reason #3 is obviously footage from something else, though your reason is garbage. Anyone with money can get any car they want imported into the United States.

I'm in Michigan and we didn't get any accumulation of snow so far. You have to watch out for ice though. Still, I'm surprised at the relative lack of snow...

Whether or not this was filmed in Michigan, this guy was pussy. He was filming other people crashing their cars, risking the health of other people, when he should have been at the top telling people to detour or something. That is what I would have done.

I'm proud to be a Yooper. Why am I proud? Firstly, you don't see kids sitting on their computers 100% of the time like kids in the city. I'm always outside, doing something. Secondly, a lot of us are proud for what we do, job wise. Thirdly, in the mining journal a few weeks ago, it said in the national area, only 11% of students in highschool failed the educational standards. Great in comparison to Florida's students - 89% Failed to reach those same standards.

Stuff like this can happen almost anywhere, not just Michigan. Just look at New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma: they just got over a foot of snow! So no matter where you live, sh*t's gonna happen. Besides, if you know how to drive safely in winter weather, it's really not that bad. It's people from down south that can't drive worth a sh*t in a quarter-inch of snow that wind up causing the most problems for the rest of us. And I've been in Michigan all my life, so I know what I'm talking about.

# 2 is from British Columbia Canada in an area that doesn't normally doesn't get snow in the winter when you move there you trade your snow shovel for an umbrella hence people don't know how to drive in it this video played constantly on the weather network when it happened about 4 years ago there was about 25 to 30 collisions in 2 hours because of a stop sign at the bottom of that slope
