This is a restricted area and machines are too large to use.Also with machines you can only do about 10- 15 holes 6 meters long as an example and by hand we can do double with no gaps beside each pile (its actually quicker by hand)
No gaps between piles also mean there is no need to spray the walls with concrete later thus reducing more cost.
We use concrete to fill piles compared to grout injection for sand area and find they are stronger with agregate.

why did you not use a piling machine its much quicker.

Access is limited.Depending on man power we can do up to 40x 6 meter holes per day against a machine that is lucky to do 8-12 per day.
No gap and piles perfectly straight.
We also use concrete with aggregate and machines use grout with no rocks in sand.
We can also get close to existing property or awning against machine that can only get around 300-400 mm of it.
Only drawback is we stop just above the water table.
