most professional drifter cars usualy have about 500-700hp (home made usualy have about 200-600hp), so when you have 1000hp that just means the fag that drives the car cant drift as well as other pros, cuz he needs more power than nessesary to get the car to drift!

@1PSYTEX1 Bro, with that much power, holding a drift isn't as easy as it seems. He has to watch his throttle way more than anything below 1000bhp. Too much throttle, he spins, too little, no drift.

Didn't look to healthy at the end.

Great skill but you hear it was laggy with that T51, lots of clutch kicking due to being in a higher gear than normal but once the NOS was hit and the motor took off the rear wheel speed was very high, hence th smoke.

We do RB30s instead of RB25s or 26s for drifting, couple that with antilag and the driver can be in 4th where others are in 3rd, makes a big difference to smoke :-)

@RIPSNZ it did look like it was smoking a bit. The nitrous hit was probably pretty small. You can only get so much out of a single fogger. Most times its only 50-75. More than that, and you always have a bit of a distribution issue. I've done ~150 on my Typhoon, no jets, just solenoid, but I don't recommend that.

Kinda misses the point of drifting though.. You can't tell me it doesn't. It'd be difficult in the same way "powerskid" competitions are hard, but have very little to do with balancing a car into a corner using weight shifting and line...

Still cool, yes, but I really hope this sort of thing doesn't overpower the focus of real drifting!

In big turbo applications, the use of N2O makes the turbo spool up to full boost quicker. This car has a T51SPL which would be too laggy for a drift setup without the use of it. I doubt the addition of the nitrous would have anything to do with the overall power figures as the computer would have been programmed to shut the (N2O) injection off once the turbo hits maximum boost pressure.

Most drift cars are stupid (i know, i'm building a bn sports fc3s as i type this) but this is just dumb. Freewheeling 1000hp going slow as balls......pretty damn boring. Turn down the boost, slap some wider rear tires on and GO FASTER. Anyone can freehweel a 1000hp 1j/2j car by bliping the gas and bouncing the limiter on the corner exit. It will look like crap regardless of who does it.

In the end he blew the clutch ... also he has broken 2 gearboxes on it, only thing that hasn't been broken in the drivetrain is the drive shaft .... he spent hell-a-lot of money on this monster ... it has bigger brakes, 2 nitrous injectors, new suspension etc .... and he is using high grip tyres with regular ones he can't move at all (:
