  • This is so cool..to boldly go where no man has gone before. Colonize other planets, low gravity food farms, the list is endless..beam me up Scotty!

  • ха ха расмешили!он и в трапосферу не поднимется там двигатели от бойнга стоят а выше отмасферы это где то 15 км уже температура низкая а движки ваши застынут!

  • why would anyone pay 200,000 for this crap when it can already feed the hungry on earth? fucking senseless

  • Rich's tourism

  • What's the use of helmets without a space suit?

  • Впечатляет...

  • фффффаааааа

  • Всё красивенько до первой аварии...

  • ага. и сгорит эта хреновина в плотных слоях атмосферы.

  • Бряхняяяя

  • This idea is very very old.

  • cool i wanna do this

  • My feelings is if they are going thru all of this trouble why not build something as big as the Enterprise, or like the space station that was in James Bonds Moon Raker in space since you could never get it out of the Earth's atmosphere. That way they can have the best of both worlds, a work station plus a small 1 bedroom apartment size living area.

  • cool:)

  • bull shit

  • nice~

  • well that is a stupid advertisement!

    this Spaceship's maximum speed is 3,518 km/h

BUT FOR ESCAPING EARTHS GRAVITY YOU MUST REACH AT LEAST 40 000 KM/H !!!!

    Somebody is fooling people!

  • just copy " rocket_worldbook.html " in google search and click on first NASA link!

    rocket_worldbook.html

  • what are you saying... that this is a lie, that Virgin Galatic is fake? It was talked about on the news days ago, and on discovery channel. I'm sure in many other places as well, and its already 60% complete. If your one of those people that judge right away without taking the time to actualy do research, then your mind is stuck inside the box, and refuses to escape.

  • no, it is just interesting. I just readed about this gravity thing and i saw in news this advertisement. It is just interesting how they gonna make it. Nasa is using big big fuel tanks and megabig rockets to fly just one shuttle in space. But now Branson is flying just simple plane in space? Interesting. In my mind it can be only be done with very high electricity, but then it's dangerous to traveller :(

    But let's see :)

  • coz you dont have TO ESCAPE earth's gravity. If you escape you'll fly out in outer space.

What this SpaceShip does is just a "jump" out of the atmothphere using it's engine. As the engine is shot down, the ship is in free-fall and has 0G inside coz nothing is slowing it down.

You will have 0G only for a few minutes (2-3 minutes).

Then it enters back the atmosphere, gets slowed down by the air (see how the controls go into feathering position) and returns to the aerodynamic flight.

  • Ok, so my news reported it wrong. They sayd you will fly outer space :)

    Lol, Thanks!

  • they say is 45 minutes foating in 0g...how they're gonna make it?????

  • WHERE is anyone talking of 45 minutes an 0g? My informations say - 3 minutes at 0g!

  • Yeah, i thought is saw that, but then i saw again the video, and theres a little square where it says 5 minutes. then the counter goes to zero, it's when the people buckle up again to reenter earth.

  • then why would people pay so much when they can pay a whole lot less just to ride the nasa vomit comet

  • Couldn't they in this case, just go out wearing the apropriate spacesuits and fall down to the hight of denser air,and then land with parashutes?

  • the reentry speed is still over Mach 3.. Spacesuit is aerodynamicly very bad, gonna still get too hot.

The space ship has a special feathering system that ensures a safe reentry - to slow down without getting too hot.

  • Well, that's because it's bad aerodynamically it will slow you down faster. And besides there can be a protective heat isolating layer impasted like a dye on the suit before every lift off. There were para jumps from the hight of 40km,and they reached during the free fall Mach 2,but even without any extremely special gear they landed without experiencing any major problems.

  • And furthermore the booster in the case mentioned above can follow a different flight trajectory.Unlike Spaceship 1 and this vessel, the pure rocket after a vertical ascend can simply stop at the 100-120km altitude to 0km/h and then eject the crew out, thus avoiding the speedy parabolic reentry

  • it's very speculative what we are talking about. If it's possible: develop it! And you'll either proove it's possible, or it's not.

  • I surely would.Unfortunately I was born on the shitty side of the world, where the ordinary people still do not depend on themselves.

  • there are no absolutes

  • thats not the moon...the real moon is made of cheese and paper mache

  • What a bunch of stupid comments people left. Does anybody else realize how amazing this truly is (not the video) but what Sir Richard Branson is doing with a bunch of other billionaires. for anyone under at the most 40 yrs old, it means we will all have the chance to go to space before we die. How fucking amazing is that! oh and this will work because it has already. A guy built his own and went to space and came back a couple years ago.

  • I agree with U, this boys don´t even realize that we didn´t have personal computers or internet or cell phones a few years ago, and this chance to go to the space is so great that we only could imagine it on Science Fiction !!!.

I guess the only ppl who deserve to go is the one who really apreciate it.

  • what if you throw up?

  • How come astronauts don't have a bone density loss when they're in Zero Gravity

    for several weeks or months?

  • That...would be amazing.....If it would work. You can't be in Zero Gravity for more than 8 seconds without reducing your bone density. It would work, but it would be very unhealthy.

  • Maybe Hollywood stars should go,some of them have

    plenty of money.

  • Yeah, what a terrible waste..

  • Can I bring my parakeets with me? Any discounts to students?

  • Can I go free?
