  • I would be surprised if eating meat is related to diabetes. I would say more likely breads, refined sugars, etc. cause it. To say you're vegan to cure diabetes is a bit of a contradiction because you can be vegan and still eat the things that cause diabetes and many vegans do eat junk food. You have to do what is right for your spirit but I truly believe meat in moderation does more benefit for health than harm.

  • Thanks for your honesty. It helps me!!

  • btw Meat is great

  • its not a diet that makes you lose weight its exercise with little food

  • avoid all proteins in my opinion while detoxing.

  • Sorry guys, fell off the tractor for awhile.. but... I'm baaaack.. .Follow me on my journey.. I will be posting every week!! Looking forward to sharing my raw journey with you all..

  • @RawFoodHousewife Thanks for being real! I am right there with you.

  • Hi, how are you doing? Can you put an update on? Like your vlogs x

  • It sounds like you were extremely low on calories. You should really try and concentrate more on eating carbs and less on fat. Too much fat makes it hard for your body to distribute sugar because the blood stream is slowed down.

  • Keep going! A great step your taking for you health

  • I also agree with RosalindaPearls, it's supposed to be one small avocado a day.

  • I hope that you stick with this lifestyle, I am new as a raw food vegan too, I was a vegan and that was easy for me but this is a big change! One question I have for you though is, honey? Honey is an animal product meant for bees and not humans and is not considered vegan. I would suggest cutting out the honey, the sweetness of the natural fruit is the best.

  • @RamFan4u Totally gave up the honey months ago!! Thank you!!

  • I think that carbohydrates are not going to make you any healthier am not a medical professional but high amount of carbs increase degenerative diseases in the body like diabetes and high blood pressure. Losing weight will help the body a whole lot but the only way of controlling weight is by knowing how many calories you need and trying to create a calorie defecit. it is amazing how a low carb- low calorie diet helps control and even reverse degenerative diseases

  • Bravo Jennifer ! How goes your progress?

  • Try to stay away from the nuts ... stick to fruits and vegies. You may feel side-effects but that is good it means your system is detoxing Yeah !!!!! Look Dr. Robert Morse n.d. on YT and you will learn a lot.

2-3 avocados a day, talk about a lot of fat here ! Not such a good idea at all. Good luck and keep going with the vegies and fruits. Much love your way.

  • Where are the other posts?

  • I feel the same way you do I noticed doing raw you have to eat way more since the cal intake is so low

  • How are you doing now? I'm glad you are sharing your journey with us. I'm on the same journey for the same issues with you...dara dubinet and Dan the liferegenerator have been great inspiration...check them out, if you haven't.

  • The biggest thing for me right now is my high blood pressure. It is still high. I want to know when this will break. My diabetes is non-existent. I mean my blood sugar has not gotten any higher than 151 and that was 1 hour after I ate 3 bananas covered in raw honey and chopped raw peanuts! It was amazing and reminded me of a banana split!! So do you have any experience or advice for the HBP??

  • @RawFoodHousewife You need to immediately stop consuming table salt!! Buy himilayan salt, it's really great for you b/c it contains the matrix of minerals that req'd to offset the sodium. Google it, it's fantastic. Check out the reviews on Amazon.com for 'blood pressure tea', this tea has helped loads of people.

You need to drink as much water as possible! This is often very overlooked, check out Dr. Batmanghelidj's books on water.

Eat only raw honey, not cooked! SO important!!

  • @RawFoodHousewife .Suggestion.Leave the salt alone.

  • YES!! I am craving meat, I love meat, and I dearly miss it. I am sticking to this because of my health, but I am not really having fun right now. I am feeling, foggy still, and speeded up at the same time. Such a strange feeling. I am going to give the zucchini pasta another try next week I think. Right now, the thought of it and the sauce make me instantly feel sick. I am hopeful and excited about my diet, I just miss a few things right now, and everyone around me is still eating "Standard".

  • @RawFoodHousewife Also, have you looked into hypthyroidism? This is a problem for many, many Americans, particularly for those who are overweight. Check it out! You can buy herbs by Gaia on Amazon.com for this issue.

Just heard your remark on drinking 1 gallon a day, great job! :)

  • LOL The pee is because of all of the water in the fruits and veggies. That's a good thing!!!

  • We love raw zucchini pasta. We use a julienne slicer to slice the pasta and then make a raw pasta sauce out of it. There are some good videos here on YouTube for Raw Pasta. Sometimes i use a mix of zucchini and yellow squash. I bet the cashews were too much right now....especially while you are detoxing. I lived on smoothies for a while....until i got rid of the detoxing.

  • The first month.....the cravings were really hard for me for meat. My son is still a carnivore. But now....3 months into it.....i do not crave meat in any way at all and can't even remember what it tastes like. I now crave fruits and veggies and loving it. The standard american diet is why people have so many health issues in their golden years. After all those years of eating meat, dairy, processed foods, junk foods....sugar....white flour....white rice....white bread....etc. Keep going!
