@dragmeslow Yes. I will have them up for you no later then next week. I'm in the middle of sorting out thousands of mp3s, many of which have not been tagged or tagged incorrectly. Paying dearly for my laziness.
Nice version but I guess I am so used to hearing the BIG hit tune that this sounds like a cover by The Drifters without any of the original singers on that tune!! HHhhhhmmm!! :-))
@BeachMusicDJ In full agreement with you Beach. It was uncanny how they were able to have Ben E. King slip out and bring in Rudy Lewis and later, Johnny Moore and you could hardly notice. I suppose on closer listening, Ben E. king and Johnny Moore were my favorites. Not even sure if you can consider McPhatter a pass member of the Drifters based on the "new" group that emerged in 1959. They really should make a movie out this. Makes for fascinating reading.
@9thWardBluezBox I guess that's why they were called The Drifters, so many singers drifted into and out of the group over the years and then there was The Drifters from England and that is a whole other story!! You're right, it would make a great movie, sortuv like the one they did for The Temptations!! :-))
Do you have more tunes from the legendary but impossible to get "Songs of the Big City" album?
