I have a citrus && some other kind. The female is the citrus, she's bright yellow(: && has an orange beard. The Male idk what he is but he is dark orange and kinda brown and has blueish and yellow spots(: &&& i use a towel too haha (:
I just got mine 3 days ago... and i love him/her sooo much!!! cute lil baby dragons... they're the best pets ... and also really unique, good to show off to friends and to talk about :D ~ they are so cute as babies and when they grow up, ... so adorable :DDD
do you normally pull your bearded dragon around by the tail!!! i know right, it was in a sloppy bath tube in water. over all it might still be better for it to not grab it's tail move it. Just saying, your giving a health tip on bearded dragons, IE bathing, and you pulling on it's tail.
One of my bearded dragons actually put his head under the water and wouldn't lift it up. It was only under there for a few seconds, and I picked him up and he was slump, I was like WTF!? and then he moved his head and drank the water on the tip of his nose. It was pretty odd, but now he doesn't do it, so it's okay :)
I've read that occasionaly when you bath your Beardie you should brush them with a soft brizzeld tooth brush is that true or does it not really matter?
@Reptiliatus, I'm getting mine on saturday for FREE!!!!!!! The pet store said they give animals with past medical problems away for free. She'll be fine though. I AM SO EXCITED!
is it bad if bearded dragon belly is like full of air or is that normal because when i put him in my bathtub his belly was really big and when i took him out he was breathing fast please : RESPOND
Just got our beardie. He is pretty cool and we were wondering about a bath. he loves to play in his water dish and splash around. Awesome vid and thx tons!
beautiful beardie! It's so nice to see a responsible bearded dragon owner who has done their research. I've seen a few videos on here where people just submerge their beardies in water and they look so stressed out. Thanks for being a good source of information & a smart owner!
I actually heard they are not desert animals, thats a missunderstanding about them. Btw, is it dangerous for them to get water in the ears? its just a hole in the head.
with my beardie i bath him once a month whilst i clean out the tank. i would never bath a beardie once a day cuz they can get to hydrated from drinking to much water. any questions u need to know just send me a message :)
Thanks for the video. Ive had some chameleons but not a desert dweller. Recently I acquired a Juvenile BD (about 2.5 months old)
I was playin with him in the sink, but I had filled it up like an "ocean" for him I spose. This time around I filled my large bathtub with a small amount of water and he was splashin around and ducked his head under and really liked it.
@Reptiliatus Also can I ask. I read in a book that if you bath them and want to do a good job lightly burxh them with a new tooth brush. Is that true?
@QuiksilverKid1999 I couldn't really tell you... I got her at a local pet store. I would say she's crossed with a citrus dragon though... Awesome! You are going to love it :) Best pets ever
Nice video my dragon look's exactly the same she like's her baths to, her names lizzy and her mate is billy , it's not lame drying her i do the same mainly round her face just so when a put her back in the viv the sand does'nt stick to her nostril area ;)
I've been watching a boat load of bearded dragon videos to educate myself about them, because I will be purchasing one in about a month. Your videos have definately helped.
@TheBigTicket94 Thanks so much! Make sure you do alot of online research aswell though along with some good carebook reading too! Online videos won`t suffice and I am willing to admit that :P!
@jaayman47 Thanks, well I would think choose a beardie you like alot! The best place to get one is usually at a reptile show because then you'll have hundreds to choose from :)! Enjoy!
If by that you mean, tap or distilled, no it won't matter :). That bieng said, water should be clear, clean and so should the container bathing is taking place in. Hope this helps, Dayyan :)
I got my bearded dragon a couple of weeks ago and bathed him for the first time last night he seemed 2 enjoy it and was relaxed in the water i also dryed him off with a towel haha
hi i have a beardie named ptaco and i was wondering how to get her to eat. i dont know when to feed her, and when i try to feed her by hand, or even by placing the worm in her habitat, she wont eat. please help!
Hello, I'd be happy to help! Just pm me regarding everything you have in her setup, lights, temps ,etc... Also how long have you had her? Reptiles often take awhile to acclimate to their new homes. My beardie refused vegetation for about a week or two and I was worried but I kept offering her a little bowl of salad. One day she just ran up to it and started eating...boy was I relieved!
Hmmmm maybe I really wouldn't recommend it. Try putting some moist paper towels or moist beaked or spagnum moss inside your geckos shelter or hiding place and that should help with the sheading problems. Does it work with leapard geckos, becouse my gecko has shedding problems and I have to help carfuly pell it off.
bughunter200 2 years ago
Hmmmm maybe I really wouldn't recommend it. Try putting some moist paper towels or moist beaked or spagnum moss inside your geckos shelter or hiding place and that should help with the sheading problems. You may want to look into the possibility of too hot of an enclosure or atleast too dry if this happens often. Also try putting him in a critter keeper/rubbermaid with holes with a little more wet then moist paper towels overnight to loosen the skin Usually you'll find its all off in the morning
