  • Im not in the US, im in australia, they banned the magnesia milk, order online is my only option :(

  • i would like to say i have olily skin and when i heard about it it took me a while to but it buh when i finlaaly brought it, i use it every morning when im doing ma makeup and then i ise it at night when im done washing ma skin and OMG....ITTTT WWOOORRRKKKKSSSS

  • Is it a liquid? Im ordering it online, just worried that i may get a wrong one, i have never seen them in australia, i dnt wana wait for it for at least two weeks then it turns out a wrong one or a different one haha

  • @SoLoveTiffany gurl just go to walmart or the next convience store to get it, better than gettn it online

  • This is sooo helpful. Thank you very much.

  • The product does work, tried & tested. Just some constructive feedback, your intro is very slow & risks losing readers interest as there is much more talking than actually demonstrating the application of the product. Otherwise good review of products on the market.

  • how do you carry this around? like if you're going to travel or something?

  • @yingstar225 get a small spray bottle

  • i'm sorry but i really don't get it, i though it was a cramp free relief :-?

  • Hello there Oily Skiners and Milk of Magnesia users the reason this works it's because of the ingredients Zinc Oxide. Zinc is greater for your skin. Another product that works just as good, Calamine Lotion, again the ingredient Zinc Oxide. It Works

  • @yeeitspang Any brand will do -- either the Phillips MOM or any store brand -- just so long as it isn't a flavored formula, you will get amazing results.

I've been using this for about a week now and it is just the most amazing thing ever. For years, I've had to walk around with powder in my purse or blotting papers. Don't need them anymore! This is just amazing.

  • man, i have one of these at home and i will use it! lol! you are a sweetheart! thanks for the tip!

  • @natthix...I wouldn't place this or use it as a concealed primer because it will dry your under eye out so much so that your concealer won't blend and your concealer will be really dry and cakey

  • @carameldivaful Ditto that. DEFINITELY would not put this in the undereye area.

Best place to use on your face is your T-Zone.

  • This stuff is a GODSEND!!! I don't think anyone understands just how oily my face can get!!! I was hoping this wouldn't be yet ANOTHER let down and it wasn't! I wash my face, apply my moisturizer and sunscreen and then this and my Monistat Chaffing gel or the MAC gel and I'm good for hours!!!!!!!

  • @carameldivaful I use virtually the same steps that you use and the Milk of Magnesia has been a wonderful, pleasant surprise. It works amazingly and I've been telling everyone I know with oily skin about it. Amazing!

  • The CORRECT order to use this everyone, is:

    1) Moisturizer/Sunscreen

    2.) MILK OF MAGNESIA

    3.) PRIMER

    4.) Foundation

  • wow. this is the first videos i have seen of you and you are gorgeous!

  • can I put this under my eyes too?? kind of as a concealer primer????

  • your skin is really pretty

  • can you use this as an eye primer?

  • wow...you are gorgeous!

  • @RoxyLoveMakeup Yep you can you it on your eyes too

  • VERY interesting & informative cllip! Thanks for posting! I've heard of some people mixing milk of magnesia with vodka. That concoction is called a PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER.

  • Hi! Thanks so much for the info. Next time I am at Wal-Mart, I will pick some up.I have a tip for you. People have laughed at me for this, but it really works. When I was younger, I had very oily skin. I hated to spend too much money on products so I began to experiment. Need an oil blotter??? Try the paper oil seat covers. Yep. Next time you are in a restroom, try one on your face. It sucks up oil like crazy and it's cheap! The paper did not disturb any makeup. I used one today. Works great!

  • @RoxyLoveMakeup no because of the ingredients in it its bad for your eye and i think it even says so on the back of it.

  • would u still get sun protection if u applied it after sunscreen?

  • I love your accent.

I can't get my head used to rubbing milk of magnesia on my face though. Glad it works for you.

  • @bangzoom i bought a generic one from boots called cream of magnesia it has the same ingredients as the philip brand and it has no mint in it... tried it nd it works just fine i no longer hav a shine out

  • over here in the uk we can't get the original milk of magnesia! all we have is the mint flavour! i have searched every where i really wanna try it cus i hav SEVERELY oily skin!! so i stay away from foundation especially liquid!!

  • @libraspice Hello, I went and bought the mint version yesterday! Doh! But I used it last night for the first time and it worked. I have VERY sensitive skin, and today there's no sign of breakouts. I'm gonna keep on using the mint version as the result was astounding. Maybe give it a go? Mine was £3.69 at superdrug. xx

  • aww man i just threw a bottle away smh!

  • You talk so much just get started and show how its done. I notice all of your video's you waste time talking leaving little to no time to show how its done. Its one thing talking about it and other repeating yourself. Get to it girl or I will not review anymore of your video's!!!

  • @MsPeoplesgirl Hello, thank you for watching and commenting. I talk A LOT in most if not all of my videos. I will not be offended if you choose not to watch or comment on anymore of my current or future videos because of my extra talking. Be blessed.

  • @IslandPersona Not sure why you are so offended about me making a true statement, you do waste time and have very little to not time of how to applicate what you are speaking on. Blessing on you too!

  • can i use it around my eyes and eye lids? or is it too sensative? thanks :)

  • @letseatpopcorn I would be careful about using anything around your eyes. With that being said, I personally do use it on my eyelids.

  • are you wearing it now?

  • @hipretty No I'm not.

  • after you apply it to you skin how do you take it off?

  • @gkc1215ggg Hi, you can just wash it off.

  • my oily skin creates zits...soo is this gonna help..

  • @GoGopinkGoGo You can test it on a small area if you are concerned about breakouts.

  • @GoGopinkGoGo Oily skin doesn't create zits, acne is a bacteria, & oily skin is more prone to acne because the acne bacteria feeds on the oil. Cleanser, toner & moisturizers that kill the bacteria {w/benzyl peroxide, or the less harsh salicylic acid & no alcohol} will require a minimum of 2 to 3 dedicated months where you wash your face twice a day and follow the regimen strictly in order to kill the bacteria. I'm peroxide sensitive so Acne free & Pro Activ didn't help, but Murad is a miracle.

  • MMM girl u finneeee dayumm :]. good review hehe

  • @lnsordo91 Lol thanks for the compliment

  • @IslandPersona PLEASE ANSWER!! Can I just put the milk of magnesia on and then my foundation??

  • @miaxmeme yes thats the best way

  • I read many years ago that model Beverly Johnson used this--she would put on a layer and then was it off, though. I leave a thin layer on my face to absorb the oil. I've used the chafing lotion, too, but this works best.

  • i just purchased the milk of magnesia which is original but its not phillips and it was at the dollar tree for only a dollar. the name brand is assured

and i dont use make up at all but i have very bad oily skin so can i still use it

  • i just purchased the milk of magnesia which is original but its not phillips and it was at the dollar tree for only a dollar. the name brand is assured

  • You're so nice and this review helped a whole lot :) Thank you! You're a very pretty girl, too!

  • Does it work with mineral makeup too? I dont use liquid foundation?

  • @mennas07 I have mineral makeup. To be honest I don't use much makeup at all, but I used liquid foundation as an experiment for this remedy. I know that most of the people who watch this video wear foundation.

  • @mennas07 I tone and moisturize and apply this without makeup on top of it.

  • aww thank you so much!

  • @lovexhattee You're welcome. Thanks for watching!

  • i use this also it really works

  • @garnellable I still use this stuff. I don't even really wear foundation anymore.

  • nice

  • @shedoesmakeup :) Thanks

  • you are so pretty! i love your complextion. i am from the us virgin islands with a proud jamaican family! ;-D! what you said about acne and dark spots really spoke to me! that is EXACTLY my problem! also, i know what you mean with the foundation and concealer not staying on all day. i shy away from makeup because the before and after is so frustrating for me!

I'm now a subscriber for sure! what products do you use for your healthy face regimen? please keep the videos coming. thank you gyal!

  • @specialk1st Awww you made my day :) Wha gwan my girl lol. I've been putting more efforts into skin care than makeup so that makeup just enhances my skin. I have been using Nubian Heritage's black soap which my skin happens to love. I use alcohol free witch hazel or homeade toner and I use raw argan oil on my skin at night. During the day I use either Purpose or Aveeno moisturizer. Take care.

  • Thanks for posting this video, I am heading to Walmart right now!! No kidding.

  • @azucarmoreno28921 Lol I hope it worked for you!

  • thank you ur so sweet ..i will buy it tomorrow

  • @TheBrunetta4ever aww thank you! I hope it's working well for you.

  • will it make me breakout cause i have acne prone skin?

  • @citbithw Everyone's skin is different, but it doesn't bother my skin at all.

  • I am so glad I came across this video!

I was looking for remedies for VERY oily skin and noticed I already have Milk of Magnesia under my bathroom sink...and it's only $2.89!! FTW! =D

But I just patted a thin layer on my face and I have to say IT WORKS and it goes on so smooth! I don't even think I need shadow primer either. I feel like I hit the jackpot or something since I've been dealing with this for such a long time.

    THANKS! *thumbs up*

  • @bartlettbd Yay! I'm glad it works for you. I honestly don't even use it with makeup much. I just dab it on and that's enough for me. I just love cheap remedies :)

  • you are sooo pretty. your skin is glowing!

  • @livetoride128 Thank you so much! You're very sweet :)

  • Wow, did you even put it on? I fell asleep, you could've done this in 3 minutes instead of 9.5. That said, thank you for the info

  • @norsco272 Hello, I didn't put it on and my lighting isn't the best. Don't worry sometimes I fall asleep watching my favourite videos on here lol. I couldn't have done this in 3 minutes simply because I LOVE to ramble even when I have notes. You're welcome and thank you for watching :)

  • lol I think every review I've ever seen on Youtube is too long. I'm just an impatient viewer though.

  • i bought it yestruday and ama use it today wid my foundation...hope i do it right lol...

  • @EyeGotUlol Good luck with it! Right now I've just been wearing it alone without makeup.

  • im just worried that it might break me out! But i really want to try it... :) thanks so much for the video!

  • @MakeupMyWorld28 I was worried about that too, and unfortunately everyone's skin is different so I can't speak for you. You can try in on a small area and see how it works for you. Good luck with it. You're very welcome!

  • wow, i'm definately going to give this a try. thanks so much

  • @kuroyuri You're welcome! I hope it works for you :)

  • omg ur so sweet lov ur video..i wil buy it wen i get my foundation...i never worn foundation b4 so i wana make sure i guy the right one..thanks for the tips!!!

  • @MrMslovemusic2 You're adorable thank you so much! If you're not into foundation, you actually don't have to go get foundation. Lately, I just wear the Milk of Magnesia by itself. You don't need to change whatever beauty routine you have. Thanks for watching :)

  • @IslandPersona tanx so much lov u grl!!!

  • Firstly, you're GORGEOUS!

Secondly, thanks alot for the valuable info :)

Also, there's a slight Caribbean accent, whats your backgroun?

  • @Kelz06081984 You're so sweet...thank you for the compliment. You're very welcome. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video. Good guess!! I'm from Jamaica :)

  • @IslandPersona I'm also Jamaican!

    Wha gwan my gurl?! Lol!

My accent's thich as I've been in Toronto only 4yrs.

I'm adding you as my new frenny!

I also have videos on here. I'd love for you to have a look :)

    Thanks!

  • @Kelz06081984 Mi de yah my gurl :)

Ahh ok. I think it's great that you have a heavy accent :) This is so exciting! I look forward to all of your vids :)

  • @IslandPersona Hey!!

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it ;)

  • thx for this review. can't wait to try this! I took a couple of pix on my ph today & was upset by my oily skin. It didn't help that i used liquid foundation, Ugh! Anwya big ups to thomasadrianna for acknowledging u in her video. u r outr ispiration. be blessed IslandPersona :)!

  • @VeryHappy2bMe I definitely know how oily skin pictures are so I understand how you feel. Just keep a good skin routine going and it can continue to work for you. Thank you so much for letting me know that thomasadrianna mentioned me in her video. I had a chance to check her out and leave a comment. Ahh it's nice to hear that I inspire someone. Peace and blessings to you as well :)

  • Very good review. I'm going to try myself. Will let you know how it worked for me.

  • @mecrowd Good luck with it! Right now I just use it with a face primer and that's it!

  • @IslandPersona it is very effective in keeping away the oils. For me I think it depends on the weather and activity. Around the house on the weekend it lasted all day a good ten hours and possibly more. At work 4-6 hours before I needed to blot. Thanks again!

  • omg this was sooo helpful. right in the middle of the video you sounded so confident about it that i went out and walked to the cvs near my house and bought it. then i came back to finish the video. i was just too anxious, lol. im sooo excited to use it tomorrow, its about time i got it. tomorrows the last day of school! :)

  • @GABBiNGABi You're too funny...I can't believe you did that lol. I sincerely hope it works well for you also. Yayyy! I hope you have a fantabulous summer break :)

  • OH MY GOD, I GOT YESTERDAY AND I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVE IT, WITH NO MAKEUP AND MY MY FACE WAS MATTE ALL DAY, I HAVE SLEP T WITH IT ON AND THE NEXT DAY , MY FACE WILL STAY MATTE, IS THAT GOOD? SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, HOPE IT DOESNT CLOGG MY PORES

  • @cutesongstress Isn't it crazy how good this works!! Lately I've been wearing it by itself as I don't like to bother with foundation on a regular basis and I haven't had any issues. Don't sleep in it lol. I hope it continues to work for you without any issues. Thanks for watching!

  • i was wondering if its ok if you have oily skin and acne prone skin i break out a lot on my forehead and i was wondering if it would break me out?

  • @trippsstar Hello, I don't have any issues with it breaking me out. I have oily skin and it works well for me. If you're interested but really concerned, just try it on a small area at first and be cautious.

  • i love ur accent! i will def b tryin this out!

  • @llsimpson17 Ahh Thank you!! I hope it works well for you :)

  • are you bajan??

  • @DivineDimplez I'm actually Jamaican. Good guess though :)

  • What color are you in ur foundation? What brand do you use?

  • @MsSweetE If I used mac foundation, I would be a nw45. Whenever I wear foundation, the ones that I own are Revlon Colorstay liquid in cappuccino, Makeup Forever Duo Mat Powder in 218-chocolate, and the Bare Minerals kit in deep. Most of the times I wear mac blot powder in deep dark with some concealer.

  • I might give this a try. Thanks for your review

  • @2mariebl I hope it works for you! You're welcome :)

  • can you use any brand?

  • @MissGeneBayBe I've only used this brand, but I've heard of other people using the generic brands. Just try to use the original formula regardless off which brand you choose.

  • can you use it w/o using liquid fondation???

  • @vermilla1 Yes you can. The only reason I tried it with liquid foundation is because I thought liquid would be the most challenging to test it out. I don't wear foundation everyday, and lately I've just been applying this by itself.

  • if you are in a very hot place, or out in the sun for long, will the milk of magnesia melt/slide off of your face?

  • @lilbluebuggaboo I have not experienced that happening to me.

  • are you from barbados? i kinda hear an accent

  • @xklusivekween I'm actually from Jamaica. Good guess though :)

  • I'm a dark skinned guy with oily skin I tried it and since I've started no lie my skins been looking a whole lot better

  • @blazenfs Yayy! I'm very happy that it works for you. Lately I just skip the makeup and apply just this.

  • Hey, nice video! Does anyone know where I can get this in London? I saw only mint flavor

  • @marinullka someone uses the mint flavour n u van get it in boots

  • @TheQueenAfrica Thank you for replying :)

  • @marinullka I hope it works for you if you find it :)

  • I like this video thanx

  • @Beautyforhire You're welcome!

  • Also what kind of foundation do you use? Cream or powder? What brand?

  • @CantStopThaBoom I have a liquid revlon color stay and bare minerals. I'll be honest, I don't wear foundation on a everyday basis. Lately, I've just been applying Milk of Magnesia by itself, or sometimes I use a concealer and some Mac blot powder.

  • Hi :)! I just heard about using mylanta as a primer today. Do you put on a moisturizer before applying the MOM as a foundation primer?

  • @CantStopThaBoom Pardon my delayed response. I've heard of using Mylanta as well. Yes I apply this after I put on my moisturizer.

  • i dont understand...doesnt this leave a white film on your face when you apply it??

  • @candikking Pardon my delayed response. No it does not leave a white film, but you have to use a very small amount.

  • ahh i wanna try this so bad. my face gets oily within a half hour..it is so gross.

  • @misslilbobbijox3 Oh no. I hope it works for you!

  • Hello i'm going to try but i want to know if i need to keep the milk on the refrigerator or with the rest of my beauty products.

  • @JEANETTEARLENESOTO Hello, I don't refrigerate mines. I'm not sure you have to refrigerate it after opening. Thanks for watching!

  • Hi,

I was looking for this information thanks!!!!

  • @TrueSugar You're very welcome. Good luck with it!

  • I'll try it and let you know! Thanks!

  • Is it still ok to use the mint version as there wasn't a plain one in my shop in UK, thanks

  • @sparklepinks It's really up to you but the flavoured ones have other ingredients in them and I don't personally know if it works the same. Good luck with it. I know people say the generic brands of it works the same. Also a comment was posted that Maalox works but I haven't tried it.

  • @chxdst That's so interesting that Maalox works for you! I may give that one a try too. I tried to compare this to Mylanta but the Mylanta didn't work at all for me. Thanks so much for watching and commenting :)

  • Comment removed

  • what ab break outs?????

  • I've never noticed any breakouts beyond what I normally get. However, I do not use this everyday because I don't wear foundation everyday. Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks so much for posting. As a fellow "oily" sis, I willl definitely be giving this a try.

  • You're welcome! Good luck with it :)

  • wat about for combo skin???

  • If you have combo skin I would just use it on the oily areas.

  • thank u,,that help alot,u r really great ,,

  • You're welcome. I'm glad you found this helpful. Thanks for watching :)

  • hello thanks for the reply ,i have a question the milk of magnesia, the ingredients of it magnesium hydroxide and aluminium hydroxide or mag hydroxide only, can anyone help

  • Hello, the active ingredient is just magnesium hydroxide. The inactive ingredients are purified water and sodium hypochlorite. I hope this answered your question. Thanks for watching :)

  • Two weeks review from South Africa:the stuff is de bomb, better still, lets just say i have a brand new face, thanks again!!!!!!!!!

  • Yayy!! I'm happy to hear that. Thanks for commenting :)

  • hello ,,,please i am really excited for MOM but i live in middle east and we dont have phillips brand at all,,,anyone can help me,,,i can send u the money to send me the MOM,,ANYONE

  • Hello, I think it would be easiest for you to obtain this online from a site like ebay. I think the cost for you to send the money to then have someone ship it to you would work out the same or more expensive than buying it online. I'm sorry but I hope you are able to find it :)

  • @SuperPrincess227 you can use any milk of magnesiam look in drug store

  • i remember when my mum use to giv me this as a child

lol and when morning comes i would rush to the bathroom to take a dump lol those days lmfao that just brought back memories, but i never thought u could use it for makeup wow

  • Lol yea it does work for makeup. Odd but effective :)

  • thanks for the vid, im trying this tomorrow!!

  • You're welcome, I hope it works well for you :)

  • This was very informative. I'm going to try this.

  • Thanks, good luck with it :)

  • You're welcome I hope it works for you. Thanks for the compliment; that's very nice :)

  • Thank you for sharing, the stuff really works ,been using it for two days now and i have not blotted my face not even once Much lov frm South Africa.

  • I'm excited to hear that it is working for you so far! Wow South Africa!! That is awesome thanks for watching :)

  • Thanks for this tip. I'm a guy and this product has been a Godsend. Btw, I think you are hot!

  • I'm glad it worked for you!! Thanks for the compliment :)
