This may sound strange, but turn on your vacuum in the background. The white noise inspires Eclectuses to shower, probably because it reminds them of rain pounding in the rainforest. It worked on mine- she hated being sprayed til I turned the vacuum on. Try it! :)

I think if you had it on more of a fine mist she would take to it a lot better.Mine loves the fine spray.

I have a Male Eclectus that loves a shower spray out of a bottle while the female will edge back and forth but I tend to let them come to me.

I agree with Jewlie, I prefer a real shower over being squirted too! ;)

Reading a few comments about how some love the squirt bottle and others hate it... just goes to show how each bird is truly an individual.

You might have more success by spraying up into the air and letting it fall like a fine rain. That looks like a punishment.

Mine likes to perch on my shower curtain. His name is Hermes he's soo cute. He dosn't mind the spray bottled, but he loves the shower :) he sayd "Shower Now? Shower Now? C'mon, Shower Noooow"

you need to run a hoover to get your bird in the mood, you will see them start to fluff their feathers up and get a bit rowdy, thats the sign they are ready!! Also, nice warm water helps!

Yes!that noise she makes is to tell me to F off.She don't like the sprey botle at all.She love's the shower.:)

Sometimes is necessary,eclectus need to get wet often and if is too could a litle sprey is the best option because it dry of easy.

Yes it is neccessary to bathe them regularly. Mine is bathed regularly, he doesn't like water much, but I won't use the spray when I know how much he hates it, especially the hiss of it. I bathe him other ways that are more tolerable to him.
