    jenna

  • you are very entertaining to watch!

  • hahaa teddy i loveeee it <333 defiantly my favorite so far ;]

  • thanks! lol

  • i love it teddy so so funnn

  • thanks!

  • like why does teddy do 'we're in the money' during his improv!?! because he's awesome, that's why. duh.

  • lol thanks! i love those trenches. they're like my favorite things in life. one time i student taught a tap class for little kids and this one kid was obsessed with them... now i see why.

  • haha! this was by far my favorite :P nice job :)

    <3 Jen

  • thanks jenkay

  • Teddy you are like my favorite person of all time!!!

  • thanks kass! you make the best reeses blizzards EVER! you're great!

  • congrats on making the top 10 and congrats on putting this together, taking a master class and learning a solo from the great emily shock all in the same week. whew that was a lot of work!

  • thank you!

  • teddy, i am completely on the other side of quite a few people, but opinions are opinions....right? i was thoroughly entertained and could not take the smile off my face. i thought it was nice to see a different you. one in a studio setting, not so serious - having fun. i loved the energy and i really loved seeing you do some technique. nice ups at 1:03. exellent use of space - i loved the traveling. i would have expected your interpretation to be something like this - stay true to yourself!

  • I was anxious to see you do this combo for sure! Contemporary is something that comes very natural for you. Challenge yourself to not lose the power of traditional lines & steps that are still Jazz dancing today too. I was glad to see you use the floor & travel. For this style, your arms needed to be stronger & more placed in your transition steps as well as the choreography. I did feel your improv was WAY over the top & could be mistaken as sarcasm & you didn't follow thru with costuming.cont..

  • so that was a bit disappointing as you have been great with your locations & purpose behind your other pieces. Your very talented & I hope that you will continue to try the other styles that don't come to you so easily. You have a great intensity & energy about you.

  • angie.. that was a really great critique. i like the way you communicated your thoughts. I really do. thank you for that. thank you. it gives us all something to think about. I think he can work on those things and i think that he will.

  • thank you! i agree with emily, your comments were really helpful. I do have a tendency to forget about my upper body... its pretty bad. i'll really work on that i pinky promise.

  • To letursouldance4ever:

This is the kind of constructive critique I like to read!

  • this is just a little comment to let you know that the next round will be a solo round... if you make it to the top 5... you will be required to do a self choreographed solo. I am just letting all the contestants know now so that they can be thinking.

  • yes canadians are good dancers!

  • You have my VOTE!!!

  • vote

  • I was laughin all through this.. love. I didn't get the vibe that you were mocking the choreo or whatever.. you're great.

    Yeah. he's great. not B-A-D, bad. G-R-E-A-T.

  • thanks chelseaonfiiiiya!

  • :D always a pleasure.

  • a) this was hysterical. So not your usual style but it was obvious that you were having a great time. Hah.

    b) I videotaped you ON A ROOF forchrissakes, why the crap have I never gotten a shout out?!

    c) I tried to make you a cd while I was home but gave up after three cds that burned but wouldn't play. How much does it cost to mail a cd?

  • 1.27... i totally made that up. but who knows with the economy, it could cost 30 or 40 dollars or maybe ten cents.

  • Hmmmm. I actually really liked this A LOT and it was nice to see you put last rounds concern about the economy behind you (apparently you are in a full-fledged news blackout). However, I do think that this was so different that it is hard to imagine you fitting in with anyone else dancing this choreography. Uh, :59 to 1:01 was probably a little over the top and sarcastic. Ish. What are we judging here though? As a solo dancer putting their own spin on a combo -- I really loved this.

  • You entertained me and made me laugh which I think is very much in the spirit of the music -- good speed and good energy. Note my concerns but I give a thumbs up despite your failure to give a shout out to the unregulated credit default swap market.

  • sometimes you just turn off the tv and radio and you can dance like you never have before. but thank you.

I really did try really hard with this combo. like really. i've been practicing it since it was posted and i took about half an hour of filming/practicing in the studio. so i'm glad someone enjoyed it. thanks again!

  • ;)

and as you all see teddy forgot to give the shout out to the jenandlindsay show...which just makes you all wanna go watch it more ;)))

  • well I happened to LOVE IT. musical theatre is supposed to be ENTERTAINING! gosh. great work teddy! :) :)

  • I think I had just as much fun watching as you did dancing! I love the wacky moves at the end. =)

  • thanks!

  • that was wonderful. for real. loved your layout with the snap at the end!! and your shoutouts made my life. wow. pigs get sunburn. haha. you are incredible, keep it up. i wish i could vote and it would matter.

  • haha thanks ali castro. you're cool. and who knew that got sunburned?! i mean its so funny! i just picture this red pig being like. ugh i need the aloe. haha

  • haha, he's definitely asking the cow to the left for the aloe/burn relief. love it. but really, i found this very enjoybable, even though apparently some people don't agree.

and p.s. you're pretty cool yourself.

wait.. is that why pigs are pink? because they're always burnt?

  • hm good question. i'd like you to research that topic and present your findings in essay format. thank you.

  • AND you pointed your feet vairrrrrr nicely

  • i enjoyed that so much!! you worked it out

  • thanks nettybetty! did i ever tell you how much i love your username? the audio preview likes it too.

  • hahahaha. no problem, and thanks!

  • teddy... i wonder what people said of fosse when he first started choreographing. i wonder what people thought. i bet they thought he was making a mockery of dance. maybe. do you think? cuz i actually read a bunch of books written about him. some people call them biographies i think. and anyways. pretty interesting.

  • that is pretty interesting... but look where a mockery can get you sometimes. I think Fosse did alright for himself.

  • yep. dance is pretty cool.

    no rules, just right.

    outback steakhouse.

  • i don't think i've ever been to outback... it makes me feel like some sort of failure.

  • maybe next year.

  • yes, i think that would be a good time to go. no sooner though.

  • Yes you have been to Outback! That's the place where they annoyed me by insisting that they were famous for their "Cajun seasoning." (And I shouldn't feel compelled to point out that I asked several real Aussies about that and they were all completely baffled as to why anyone would expect "Cajun spices" in the Outback!) So there!

  • oh yeah... how could i forget such an unembarassing peaceful moment.

  • You're just blocking it out! (For my part... I still feel a little nauseous thinking about it...)

  • If I could vote for you, I would. That definitely made me laugh and smile.

  • haha, good job teddy. i always smile when i watch you.

  • it looked like you were making fun of the dance and style.

  • i'm sorry you feel that way. all i can do is assure you that i wasn't.

  • i believe you. i know it must be hard to read that you were not sincere. maybe it was the combination of your upper body not being tight enough and the moves you were doing...but i do enjoy your other entries.

  • thanks darcy... but also thanks for being honest. i mean like why should you say "lyk3 0mgZzz |uV!" if you didn't love it... ya know?

  • haha yes! also im not a judge and im not up there doing this competition right? it takes guts! keep uploading no matter what happens! and maybe i will one day...

  • you should... if you don't put yourself out there, no one will.

  • i think you are wonderful!

  • Teddy:

This is BLAH! This is NOT good. It looks like you didn't take the time to learn the counts and choreography. I'm REALLY disappointed in you and will NOT be voting for you to be our final five. This is disrespectful to the choreography and you should be very, very disappointed in yourself and your presentation. B-A-D...BAD! Your technique is lacking and your enthusiasm is horrible. It looks like a joke of piece. I'm sad that people think this was good.

    - Steve

  • luckily... very luckily... opinions are opinions, teddy. i could show you a 10 page online critique of my work.. "the common divide" where some people praised it and some people hated it with such disgust that they couldn't even hold back. in the end... i learned some stuff but thank god i kept on posting. I would be sitting my ass in oklahoma every weekend if i didn't. I know it is hard, but take the critiques and swallow them and keep on doing what you are doing. you are fantastic.

  • im sorry you wasted your time watching something you hated so much. And it kind of hurts my feelings that you think i'm making fun of something. i was having fun. and apparently other people had fun watching it. and dance is like, entertainment so i think i did okay.

  • Oh man. That was great! I totally smiled.

  • bahaha u wonga'd before giving meee a shout oout?1 really blu? this combo is my fav.. id say ur ready for hsm 3 for sure..

  • you never asked, red. i figured you were too cool.

  • Who said WONGA?

  • hellooooo you're the last shout out! i threw out a wonga to ya!

  • you are so sweet teddy. haha, you cracked me up with some of those shout outs! annnd this was amazing!! you totally suited this combo. and as soon as your improv hit, i was like yep. thats fierce.

  • haha thanks chandra. "canadians are good dancers."

  • i absolutely loved your improv section, haha, it put a smile on my face. and that's what dance is all about!

  • yay im glad... smiling is so good for you.

  • that is the cutest little dance on earth!

  • im not taping?! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. jaykay, this place is better than the random joints we tried. did u make this up?

  • no jenay... the end is improvisational techniques acquired from mrs. lavin's drama class however.

  • you mean advanced improv workshop! love that class!

OMG I HIT A WRONG BUTTON AND MY COMPUTER JUST READ THAT TO ME! AHHHHH! HOW CREEPY!

  • I KEEP DOIN THAT TOO!

  • teddy...this is one of my favorites. you just seemed to have so much fun and i was laughing throughout the improv. you had the perfect amount of humor, but still showed off your technique. it just put me in a good mood. congrats!

  • thanks bethany!

  • ha! LOVE your improv.

    but wheres your fancy costume?!

  • loved it! your improv was pure genius.
